Hand-hooked Vintage Poster Wool Rug (8' Round)

It came rolled (way too tight) and sealed in plastic. There were warnings all over about how you shouldn't slice down the length, only cut off one end and the rug would "slip out" to ensure you had the wrappings in case you returned it. It took my husband and I 20 minutes of exhaustive tugging, pulling, and cussing to finally get it out. By the time we got the outer layer off, we said forget it and just cut through the inner plastic, which was taped almost every inch with packing tape. There was no way to view the rug without getting all of the wrappings off. Luckily we like the rug. It has a more dominant, somewhat larger brown border than shows in the picture but otherwise is true to the image. We are currently hoping furniture we have placed on curled edge will smooth it out.

The rug is very colorful and arrived quickly. It was rolled and bagged and taped and seemed to arrive in good shape. When I unrolled the rug and placed it on a pad of 8 foot round though the rug does not open, or lay flat enough, to cover the 8 foot round pad. It may be it was rolled for too long or the weave is too tight. This is a good kitchen rug.

I love this rug! Unfortunately so do my cats - they normally leave rugs alone but for some reason they are drawn to this rug. Just after one month it looks terrible because it has not held up to their scratching (they are not declawed).I rated the value as 3 stars simply because for me, it was not a great value because it did not stand up to my cats.

I love this rug! I have mine in my dining room under my round glass-top dining table and chairs and it's absolutely perfect with my decor and adds an exceptional splash of color and interest to the room like no other rug I've looked at. My dining room now has the look I've been wanting and I couldn't be happier! The colors in the rug perfectly match all of the colors in my dishware.The rug itself is a very short pile, which makes it lighter in weight than most rugs this size, but still enough to be soft underfoot. It vacuums really well and so far has worn without pilling. If you put this rug in a room with hard floors be sure to get a rug pad to put under it to prevent movement. It has a cotton fiber backing that will slip on hard surface floors. I bought an 8' round rug pad here at Overstock that has padding on one side and a rubber traction surface on the other. It works great with this rug and fits perfectly under it. (If you put the rug on carpet you don't need the rug pad.)The colors are vibrant and not faded or washed out at all. What you see in the photo is near perfect to what you get.Shipping was very fast considering it shipped from Utah all the way to Ohio in a matter of only 4 days.Overall I'm more than pleased with my purchase, I'm ecstatic!!
