So, here's the thing. The rug itself, for an indoor/outdoor rug, is decent quality - I've seen so many indoor/outdoor rugs that feel like plastic - this is more rug-like than plastic, making it a nice dining room option in a house for kids. But it is NOT. YELLOW. It is NOT EVEN GOLD. In the daylight, with the sun shining on it, you can see hints of gold, it's true. But it's green. A previous poster compared it to mustard...I would say it's closer to wasabi than what I think of as mustard. It's more like a dull chartreuse than anything - not bright, but similar to the yellow-green crayola. But if I were categorizing the color, I would call it, absolutely, green. Not yellow. Not gold. Green. We're keeping it, as we haven't seen anything better and return carpets are a pain. But we're keeping it "for now" -- while we keep our eyes out for the actual gold indoor/outdoor carpet that we imagined.
Excellent quality rug considering it is an indoor/outdoor rug, it does not look or feel anything like the outdoor rugs I've seen before. I bought 2 of these for my living room and dining room and they do not look like outdoor rugs at all. The color is not at all accurate though which actually worked better for me. The color is definitely not a butterly gold/yellow as you see on the website, it is a mustard color with slight green/brown undertones. The mustard color actually worked better for me because of the color of my living room/dining room curtains. If you are looking for a mustard color this is the rug for you but if you are looking for a bright yellow/gold you will be dissappointed.
