I wanted to LOVE this rug. The color brightened my room, went with everything else I own. (naturals, browns, creams, sages, etc). It felt very plush and I loved the ridges to set it apart from other rugs. Unfortunately, when my two dogs would lay on it their nails would pull up fibers all the time. Constantly cutting strings off with scissors. When I vacuum it, about 1-2 times a week, it seems to get "brushed" up and lose that ridge look. Very disappointed, I have had this rug less than 6 months and it looks much older than that. Perhaps if I didn't have pets and it didn't get much use it would work.

Bought the cobalt version of this same rug first. It was true to color exactly. I bought the "olive"one a week later. It is very different from the image above. It is far more "green". I tried to photograph it and came up with the same result as the image above. It must have to do with the sheen or? Anyway, it is going to be fine in the end, but think OLIVE before you buy. The quality is great. It is very thick and soft. It is the full .6 " thick and very heavy. I vacuumed it as soon as I unrolled it to look at the loose fibers. Yes, there are a few as any other wool rug I have ever had. No problem since it's worth a little xtra vacuuming to have wool vs. polyester.
