Just received my desk yesterday. It took about 15 minutes for me to put it together. VERY easy to assemble. Perfect for a small space. I cleaned it with Pledge and it looks wonderful. Has a very nice finish. If you're looking for a small nice piece, this is it.
I love this "little" secretary desk. I placed it next to the front door and it looks great! I only gave it 4 stars because it tends to tip when you open the bottom drawer if not anchored down or weighted down correctly.Easily resolved. If you are looking for a full size desk... this is not it! If you are looking to stop all that mail clutter and have a place to file bills etc... This is the Perfect piece of furniture!
The desk arrived very quickly, well packed and in perfect condition. It's small but just what I needed for the entry space I bought it for. The dividers in the top of the desk are not great quality and I'm not using them, there's more usable storage space without them. Assembly was very easy; only had to attach the feet and turn the knobs around. I would definitely recommend it.
This secretary is adorable. It's just what I was looking for. I wanted something to organize/hide my clutter and paper work but still be attractive and not take over the room. The carvings are just as beautiful in person as they are in the picture. The finish is rich-looking and but not glossy. It even smells good - like cedar. You should know that it isn't very big - check out the dimensions. The top "shelf" is only a few inches wide so you can't really put anything on it. The filing cabinet is what I was looking for the most in a secretary. The bottom drawer pulls out and there are 2 metal pieces for hanging folders that run front to back not side to side. It fits all my papers nicely. Overstock was the best price online and it was shipped to me quickly.
I am so pleased with my little desk,I have a mahogny sliegh bed and small bedroom, I have been looking for a little ,beautiful ,fuctional desk and now I have one. It was simple to put together and came very well packed and in a short time after ordering it. It is lovely to look at next to my bed.
