Hand-carved Peacock Storage Cabinet/ End Table

We needed a table/chest/something to fit a weird space in our entryway -- NYC apartment so the space was tight. My husband and I both really liked this piece online, so we ordered -- our first order from Overstock. The box arrived looking completely beat up, and I was worried there's be a problem, but there was so much packaging inside that the box with the actual cabinet wasn't touched at all. It's a beautiful, striking piece, and we've received several unprompted compliments. The downsides: the doors tend to pop open a little bit, and the drawers on the bottom aren't anything fancy -- no extension hardware or whatever; it's just a box in a hole. But still, for what we were looking for this piece is PERFECT, and thank goodness the dimensions were accurate. I can't imagine this piece being used for an end table, because it is quite high, but for a table to greet us when we come home, it's been a great purchase.
