First as others have pointed out the instructions that came with this chandelier are very close to useless. However if you are moderately handy and understand how lamps and lights are generally put together you should have no problems doing this one. I took about 20 minutes to assemble it and another 45 to take down the existing light and install this one but Im an engineer and often make my own lamps as a hobby. Expect to spend at least an hour to 3 hours on this project. Even after installed it will require a bit of tweaking. Because of its handmade nature it will require a bit of balancing to get it close enough to plumb to be visually straight. I would recommend small lead weights, similar to those used for fishing, be placed inside the lamp area as needed to weight one side into balance. Structurally this is a very well made chandelier. Everything bolts together firmly and all the metal feels sturdy. I do not feel you would be likely to strip or break any part of it through normal assembly or use. Dusting and cleaning it however should be handles carefully. There are many bits that could snag and ruin the light. Once up it is absolutely stunning to behold. Bright and beautiful. The photo hardly does it justice. The colors are more subtle than the picture depicts and the hand blown glass is truly unique. Visually the effect of this light is dramatic. Don’t underestimate it. If you are afraid of a little color in the room this is not the chandelier for you. If bright colors and a whimsical environment is your thing this will definitely liven up your room in an instant. I would recommend this to anyone moderately handy with an understanding of basic household electrical assembly.

The light requires assembly, which took about 30 minutes. Installing took another hour or so. It was easy to accidently bend the leaves under the globes, just have to be careful as I am sure if you bend them to many times they will break off. As mentioned above the globes are more yellow, which the light does have a yellow hue then. The chandelier is beautiful, we are using it in a large kitchen that also has a dinning table. So the room is pretty big. The chandelier gives off a lot of light. It would be nice if there was a matching single or double globe for over the sink/bar island. Overall the wife and I are very happy.

I was disappointed once we got the chandelier put together and up, which was a job in itself. It was packed well from overstock,but the chandelier is very dark and drab being the frame is dark green instead of white. I would not have bought it if I would have known this. I have a dark kitchen to begin with, so this does nothing for my room. Very plain and the flowers dont show much at all when it is lit. Would like to have returned this but have put it up. A big job to take it down.

This chandelier is constructed well and looks great in our dining room. I was looking for something different when we decided to update our old chandelier. The purple flowers are a burst of an unusual color and go well with our gold walls. We get a lot of compliments on it.

this was the first time i was not 100% happy with the item i purchased from Overstock.com. But I still the item is worth the purchase price and have not seen anything else I like better.

This chandelier is very charming. Be aware that iIt does come in pieces and it requires that you assemble it - including doing some basic wiring. It did take a few minutes to put it together, and the instructions were not very extensive - however I did not find it to be as difficult as many other reviewers made it seem. So far I am very pleased with it - although the flowers are more of a maroon/purple than the violet color they seem to be in the photo.

I love this Chandelier. It's exactly what I thought it would be and more.

This chandelier is everything I could have hoped for. When I started looking for a chandelier I had no idea what I wanted. When I found this lamp on the site, I just had to have it. I have NO regrets in buying the lamp. As the previous reviews stated, it is complicated to assemble and the directions are poor; just have someone install it that has experience and you'll have no problems.

The chandelier is beautiful and worked well as far as the color and design go for the room I had it installed in. The big problem is the green cylinder that holds the globe arms in place does not screw down (obviously doesn't fit) and the chandelier had to be installed with the globe arms not spaced equally. If they are spaced equally, the chandelier hangs tilted drastically. Such a shame that a beautiful chandelier like this can't be installed correctly. Overstock needs to check the round cylinder on all these chandeliers before they are shipped out. Like I said, I would have returned it but already paid to have it installed and didn't want to pay extra to have it taken down and returned and another one installed. It will have to hang like it is.

After we got it put together and got it wired from the ceiling we were not able to space the globes correctly because it could not be balanced. The green round circular piece at the bottom that holds the chandelier glob arms will not screw down into the base. The chandelier is beautiful, but the quality and ability to hang it is awful. I would have returned the fixture but didn't want to pay to have it taken down and another installed

Beautiful and elegant. the best part I like is the lights are facing upwards, so indirect lighting gives a completely different ambiance. Colors are good and its matte finish. Doesn't look very traditional and definitely not very modern. Fits our home perfectly. Installation is little tricky but its all worth going through the hassle. cons: 1. There is no easy way to determine the exact distance between 2 arms, else the unit will hang tilted. It takes some fine adjustments to make it perfectly balance. Tip - don't completely tighten the screws on 5 arms until you get spacing between the arms correct 2. Manual isn't very clear and informative, but wasn't too difficult to figure out 3. It uses regular chandelier bulbs, with very small base. Manual says E12 which I couldn't find in any store.

this is a very beautiful and unique piece, however, it came with no instructions at all. if my husband was not knowledgeable about all things mechanical I may have given up assembling it, also the wrench they send is crap so make sure you have an adjustable wrench of your own.

I read the previous reviews before ordering this chandalier and all the ones that stated that it was so lovely were absolutely right. It was not that hard to assemble and connect. It looks so nice above my table..Everyone who has seen it have commented on how great it looks. I highly recommend if u are looking for something fun and light. Overstock packaging was good and shipped it promptly.

First off, let me say that I love this chandelier and would have given it 5 stars except for the instructions, or lack thereof. I have it in my dinette and it is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. However, as other reviewers have stated, the instructions are pathetic. It literally took hours and had to be taken down a couple of times when it became apparent that it wasn't quite right. But now it's up. I used 60 watt bulbs in it because I was afraid it would be too dark. OMG It's bright with 60's, so I have it on a dimmer. I would choose 40w next time. Some of the components had bent out of shape during shipping, but were able to be straightened. It's not completely symmetrical, but that's a nice shabby chic quality.

we hung this yesterday and it is like a work of art! Absoluley adds color and beauty to the dining room and it goes so well with all the other colors of my decor it looks like it was especially designed for me. a bit tough to assemble but well worth the effort if you want a beautiful light fixture with light floral touch and color. I LOVE IT!

Pretty when product is completely put together. The instructions or lack there of poor and need a microscope for some of the detail instructions. The parts to hold the globes in place are not easy to tighten in place.

I assembled this fixture myself knowing it would take a little patience that men don't normally possess. It hangs over my dinette table and is beautiful , in addition I had my son install a dimmer. I used 25 watt candlelabra bulbs but need to change to a least 40 watt because the glass globes are a honey color. The fixture is beautiful and inhances the colors in my kitchen.

Not to overbearing with flowers, we have in our entry way and it really is a welcoming chandelier. This one was a bugger to put together and hang, but worth it once it's up.
