Not what I expected
This is quite sturdy, as the product description says. It is made of very heavy duty - and heavy! - polyester canvas. There are four support poles that must be jammed into four very tight slots in order to keep it upright - it took me at least 20 minutes to get them inserted all the way so I could fold down the velcro closures. Now that it's assembled, it looks like it will last a long time. I will probably only use it as a stationary hamper, as it's so heavy on its own I'd have trouble hauling it around full of clothes. I'm only giving it three stars because of the difficulty of setting it up (the poles are not even mentioned in the product description and getting them into their slots was a major struggle) and the inaccurate depiction of the color. Even more disappointing because it's the first Overstock product I've purchased that didn't meet my expectations.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Not even close - very dark, dull eggplant rather than the bright violet purple pictured. Disappointing - I would have chosen another color had I known.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Fabric is sturdy and should hold up. One pole was broken on arrival, though I was able to keep it together enough to insert it. The poles are very hard to insert, especially far enough that the velcro tabs at the top can be sealed.
