We just replaced some very similar chairs with this model. They have been receiving light usage and have some features that we like better than the previous ones--- these have a metal grommet at the bottom of the seat to allow water to drain out, which is a nice feature, and they have an attachable drink holder which my kids seem to like using. The downside is that the black nylon cord which attaches the foot rest to the chairs broke on both chairs almost immediately. The cord on the footrest isn't woven back into itself the same way it is on the rest of the chair, so it just comes unraveled and breaks with no easy way to repair it. I will be contacting Overstock and asking for replacement parts, but if they are constructed the same way I can't imagine them holding up for more than a day or two. So, if you don't mind using these chairs without the footrest, they are great and seem well constructed.

Love the chair. It was important to me that the crossbars be black in order to match the rest of our outdoor decor. I do believe that the powder coated metal of the crossbars will also make them last longer than the wood ones so that's a nice benefit.

I like the stand and it seems very sturdy! However I wish it was a little higher because my butt touches the bottom metal bar when sitting in my hammock chair. It may just be my style of chair. Still works great though! Glad I bought it.

The C stand was much more sturdy than I thought it would be. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for the fact that the stand did not come with a spring and I had concern for the safety of someone ending up hurt on the base. The base is very heavy duty metal but because of the shape of the metal, if you step on the leg or fall on it - it could cause injury. Needs to be more rounded legs!

This is a terrific hammock. A little challenging to put together but we are not usually handy. Yet we did it and it looks great. Very comfortable and looks high end - not like a metal cheaper version

This stand took no time to put together and its heft makes me believe that it will easily hold the maximum recommended weight. I suggest that metal stakes, or something similar, should be inserted in the back leg holes if placing this stand on the slightest uneven soft ground. I believe the manufacturer's warning that this could cause serious injury if it fell over and landed on someone's head! However, if used as recommended, I don't see much chance of this. The only downside is that the company doesn't include any type of attachment to connect the hoop of a hanging chair to the stand. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase a clip with a correct weight rating. It was only a couple of dollars, but it was aggravating that I had to do that.

The hammock was surprisingly easy to put together. Two people were only needed for a minor part of the assembly. It looks great on my dock. Owing to the metal strands attached to the frame, the hammock is very safe and virtually impossible to tip over.

Received product within two days of order. Product was well packed and in excellent condition. Very easy to do business with this company. The love seat swing is very nice and was easy to install. Very strong material with metal frame.

I hung this chair in my living room, and we all love it. I'm 5'6" and I can stretch out in it, but it's definitely a seat and not a nap hammock. You will have to figure out your own hanging hardware. The wood stick and metal ring come with, but you'll need a chain, s hook, and s hook for the ceiling. I have a feeling we will have to replace this in the next year or two - it's sturdy, but the ropes aren't going to last forever.
Using a hammock may seem intimidating at first glance; it has to be hung, spread out, safely entered, and once you're in, you have to maintain your balance to avoid rolling right back out. While it might sound scary, using a hammock is actually fairly simple if you know what you're getting into before you get started. Safely Using a Hammock: Find a place to secure it: Trees are the traditional spot of suspension, but anything tall enough to keep you off the ground and hold your weight will work just as well.
