Love this Hammock, although one of the safety wires broke when I first sat in it. Would have given 5 stars if not for that.

Currently the chair is sitting in my living room until the weather gets warmer and I absolutely love it! I've rocked my 3 and 5 year old (separately) in my lap for a good hour in this chair because it's so relaxing. I'm short-5 feet and I was worried my legs would dangle or the thigh length would be too long but the design of this chair is comfortable on the legs regardless of height. It was super easy to put together and it's light enough to move around without help (haven't tried taking it up a set of stairs yet). It's quiet-no squeaky parts and it's very sturdy. My husband was shocked on how much I spent on it but for me it was well worth it as I sit in it everyday. I sat in several similar models at Pier One and other stores but this was by far the best design in that it's very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Now I want one for every room in my house!

First off be warned this is HUGE! The stand is very sturdy but the wood was barely stained so we added 2 coats of marine varnish. Looks great. The actual hammock is cheap and I doubt it will last 1 season. As others have said the anti tip cables are a must. We have only had it up 1 day but I am going to start looking for a hammock to replace this one. I may have to revise review later but so far so good and very comfy.

I bought this as a housewarming gift for my brother. He LOVES it. He says it's very sturdy and super comfy. He says he naps in it at least twice a week!!

The hammock stand is beautiful. Solid and very attractive. The hammock is very thin. It's almost the same material as a soft flannel shirt. I used my old hammock with this as the one that came with it was very cheap. The price is worth the stand.

The quality of this item was poor, it fell apart immediately and the hammock material was not water resistant

Easy to assemble and looks great! Only complaint would be that the hammock is not very sturdy and will probably need to be replaced with a better hammock bed down the road

There are lots of great things to say about this hammock, although one thing anyone getting it should realize is just how large it is! It's a beautiful statement piece for a deck or a yard, but until you're building it, it's hard to realize how long the hammock stand actually is. So, we had to recalibrate where to put it once we had it built. It is a beautiful piece and while you definitely need two people to put it together, it's not terribly difficult to assemble with some help. The guard lines are great, as they make it impossible to fall out of the hammock. A few tips tho: the chain they provide to attach the hammock to the stand on each side is much longer than you need. Clip into at least the 4th or 5th one or you'll be sagging down to the hammock stand itself. Also, the hammock fabric stretches over time, so after a season or two, it may need to be replaced. (This is probably true for all hammocks - I don't know.) In bad weather, you'll definitely want to bring in the hammock itself. And... the neck roll pillow in the picture does not come with the hammock!

Using a hammock may seem intimidating at first glance; it has to be hung, spread out, safely entered, and once you're in, you have to maintain your balance to avoid rolling right back out. While it might sound scary, using a hammock is actually fairly simple if you know what you're getting into before you get started. Safely Using a Hammock: Find a place to secure it: Trees are the traditional spot of suspension, but anything tall enough to keep you off the ground and hold your weight will work just as well.
