Has worked great for years
I've had this blender for years and am now buying another for my dad. Thought about buying another model but asked myself "why gamble when I have one that I really like?" . It has an attractive, utilitarian design and doesn't take up too much space. . Blends iced drinks well. (cannot explain other review) . Easy to clean--both the pitcher and the base. . Not very noisy (for a blender--esp) . Buttons are completely covered by a layer of rubber and are nearly flush with the base--this means gunk never gets in the buttons. Again, very easy to wipe clean. This is important I think. . Large glass pitcher. . Inexpensive. . (the only con I can think of is that the metallic decorative band is not top quality, but still looks nice.)

Okay for smoothies
Im a little disappointed in this product. The blade is metal but all the other parts are plastic. There's no way it can crush ice. It barely can handle frozen fruit.
