THIS COFFEE MAKER PRODUCT IS PRODUCING THE MOST SATISFYING COFFEE THAT WE HAVE EVER ENJOYED FOR THE PAST 54 YEARS. THE THERMAL POT KEEPS IT NICE AND HOT FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS. JUST THE SAVINGS GIVEN FOR NOT HAVING TO KEEP THE COFFEE POT ON TO KEEP THE COFFEE HOT IS QUITE A SAVING. THIS COFFEE SYSTEM IS PRODUCING NOTHING BUT FIVE STARS IN EACH CATEGORY. This is an excellent coffee maker! The versatility of using the carafe or the mugs is awesome. I love the fact that the coffee stays hot in the carafe - with no burned taste. I read the review about the person having trouble setting the timer and what I discovered is that the VERY FIRST time you set the timer, you have to push the button twice. After that, it sets with one push of the button. A good way to know if it is set is that the light will come on if done correctly. Works perfectly every time! A little expensive from what we usually spend, so we'll see if it holds up. Overall an excellent purchase!

overall a nice simple stainless steel coffee maker. I would have liked it more if the cups that came with it were stainless steel on the inside as well as on the outside-I don't like the cheap plastic liner and travel cup is not spill proof at all. The coffee pot is solid and very sturdy. I haven't figured out how to make the timer work even after I read the directions; fortunately I will probably never use it. The travel cups don't handle the dishwasher well and water gets trapped between the liner and the steel cup and there appears to be no way to seperate the liner and cup to remove it. I did leave it upside down for 2 days and the small amount of water evaporated. Other than that the coffee maker works fine and is very sylish and easy to maintian.
