Poorly designed
I chose this product because it's dishwasher safe, a useful size and cheap. It was all that. But the design is nasty. The handles are thinly cast and uncomfortable to pick up. There is a nasty sharp spot on the handle where they are broken off form the cast. These aren't visible after you assemble the product. The thermostat is completely obscured by the handles when in use. Worse, the dial is counter intuitive--turning counter clockwise to increase heat. One has to remember this as one can't see the dial. All said, it's still functional, but I will return it for a better product.

Hamilton Beach Electric Skillet
I purchased this item to provide one appliance to cook my meals with. It has worked out better than I anticipated The appliance is dishwasher safe which for me is a plus. The sides of the skillet are higher than a normal skillet which prevents much of the spatter associated with frying. I am well pleased with the purchase.
