Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven
After getting sick from eating chicken baked in this toaster oven, I bought an oven thermometer to check its temperature range. With the temperature set for over 450 degrees, it finally reached 350 after an hour. I tried baking a potatoe in it and after an hour and a half it was still raw. I would not recommend this toaster oven. It is nothing but a glorified toaster capable of toasting bagels and bread that takes up space onmy shelf. If I cant return it Im going to throw it away.

Underwhelmed
I was very disappointed with the purchase for a couple of reasons. First, the toaster aspect is not very good. If you want both sides of your bread toasted you have to put the tray in the middle of the oven and wait forever for it ti even start turning brown. You can put the tray up high so the top toasts faster but barely get any toasting on the bottom. The second thing is I burned my fingers a couple of times because the metal area behind the handle is not covered and is the temp of the oven, so you need to be very careful as to how you open the oven. Third is the "timer". If you set the timer too long/far you have to force the knob to a shorter time, It sounds like it shouldn't be pushed that way. I just had a friend in from out of town and she was not impressed with the oven either, so I know it is not just me.

Unexpected hot spots
The product works fine so far & is a nice compact size. But the manufacturer failed to label unexpected hot spots & so both my fiance & I burned our hands the first time we opened the door using the handle. You have to do a delicate dance to open the door without touching the area behind the handle, which is extremely hot. There's a warning label (hot area) on top of the oven, but no warning to indicate other areas. Use caution when opening the door to the oven so you don't get burned!

I received this wonderful oven yesterday and right away i prepared a delicious dinner, it works perfectly, was fast, easy, without taking to much time, 4 the price is an excellent acquisition,

No Complaints
I am an appliance cheapskate. I bought a $30 toaster oven about a year ago to replace one that I had had for years that broke. The top heating element broke in an across town move. It was packed just fine. I wasn't too sad though because it always let off too much heat around it and cooked unevenly. Buying this one to replace it was a great compromise for someone like me. It is much, much higher quality than the last one I had but is still a very low price. It has more options than my last one, contains the heat better, cooks more evenly, and comes with more racks and baking sheets. I'd make this decision again.

Great toaster
I bought this toaster for my parents for christmas and the love it. My mother hardly uses the oven anymore. she cooks everything in this toaster oven.

Unfortunately, the dials on the right side are hard to read and confused the kids. Even adults at some times. Product works well just hard to read dials.

Do not buy
I was really surprised that this item was a total disappointment. The toast burns, the letters on the setting faded after 2 wks so you better not throw out the manual so u can see what the dials mean. Not happy. Do not buy unless you enjoy frustration on simple tasks like toast for your kids in them morning make sure you have a knife close by so you can start scraping the burnt parts. I have never taken the time to actually do a review but I thought i would save somebody from making the same mistake I made.

Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven
This toaster oven is a 4 star, not a 5 because the stainless steel panel that has the handle attached on the front glass gets extremely hot. If you don't use an oven mit you will be burned. It's a narrow opening for your hand to get around the handle and so your fingers end up touching the panel and getting burned. Other than that the toaster oven works great! It toasts evenly and quickly. It's easy to clean and you can make a small pizza in minutes. I use it for making biscuits and it works well. It beats having to light our big oven for a few biscuits. As always Overstock had it on my doorstep within 2 days of ordering. I had gone all over trying to find a toaster oven and all the stores were out of what I wanted. I went on Overstock, clicked and it was here before I knew it. Great way to shop especially since gasoline is over $3 a gallon. Thanks Overstock!

Good Product
I use my oven maybe 1-2 times a week. I ordered it five months ago, never had a problem with it. It heats up fast and is pretty durable.
