Paired this with a Haier washing machine. Both are working well together in a one bedroom apartment on the same circuit. Dryer uses 9.5 amps. This dryer doesn't get as hot as it could, i assume because it is meant to work on 15 amp circuits. Because of this it takes a little longer to dry clothes than a regular dryer would. This is a small price to pay for not having to spend hours in the laundromat on the weekend. Cleaning the lint filter in the middle of the cycle will reduce the drying time.Read More
Called Haier Support - they said: "takes up to SIX Hours to DRY CLOTHES"... A dryer that takes up to SIX HOURS? No Thanks. Sending it back.Read More
Questions & Answers
Question 1 - Venting - You are instructed to seek information regarding venting a dryer in this manner from local city/county government or building inspectors, as there may be legal and health/safety concerns with this type of venting. The user manual states only that the item must be vented to the 'outside', using not more than 6 feet of hose. Also, This item does not come with venting materials, such as hosing and hose clamps. In theory, this item could be vented through a window if they wished to do so, but they would need to purchase or manufacture some type of apparatus in order to enable it to be safely vented. Sticking the hose out the window would not be appropriate, due to health/safety concerns. Question 2 - Weight Limit - This dryer is meant to be mounted on a wall, not to stand on the floor. The dryer itself weighs approximately 53 lbs.. The manufacturer does not provide any type of weight limit specifications for the included mounting hardware. They also do not give weight limit information for loading the dryer. Rather they state that 'the dryer should not be loaded more than 2/3 full." As such, you will need to use your best judgment regarding the weight to load size ratio that works best for them in that respect. If they think it's too heavy, it probably is.
