I love these bar stools. They were very easy to put together, and I used wood glue with each dowel to strengthen the bond. The color is mocha, but it has a hint of cherry, when the sun hits it. The cushion is comfortable. Overall, great purchase, fast delivery.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color had a little bit more cherry than visible on product page.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Solid piece, well built, sturdy when in use.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Pretty accurate, but the bar stools have a height of 29" not 30" (height is listed on instructions).
I am disappointed by poor quality. 2 out of 4 stools wobbled even after spending quite a bit of time trying to rotate the pieces to find the best fit, so had to saw off a bit to steady them. Way too much trouble! They look OK, we will see how long they will last...
We have a kitchen "bar" that is between the kitchen and living room and needed counter-height bar stools that wouldn't take up too much room. These are perfect! Easy to assemble, and the leather seats are firm and easy to clean. We do have one that has become a bit wobbly, but a quick tightening of the connector screw should do the trick.
I followed the instructions for putting together the barstools. Within a week one of the stools started completely coming apart. It started with the screws that hold the cushioned seat to the top base of the legs. The screws just fell out on to the floor one by one. Next the whole stool fell apart. I had to go to the hardware store and buy screws long enough to keep legs attached to the base of the stool. With all the extra work to keep the stool together I clearly paid too much for this product.
they were easy to put together, The leather is nice. they do tip over easy due to the narrowness of the bottom. Might not be good for young children to sit on because it tips over easy. I don't think they would last from rough treatment like the smaller stools I have. It's not a heavy wood.
They fit perfectly up against my nook/counter. You must make sure that you are careful in your assembly; any halfway screwed in sectional throw the whole chair out of alignment. Make sure your screws are screwed in nice and tight the very first time!
They seem fine but not as sturdy feeling as I would have liked. They look nice. The wood buttons to cover the screws did not fit at all and keep popping out. I hate to glue them in because we may have to re-tighten them later as the stools are used. We have only had them a month so time will tell.
