I originally bought these to help my cat with a possible allergy to dust mites, I recently moved to an apartment with new carpet & furniture, and she almost immediately got a rash. I tried medication, change of diet, etc. I saw the bulk price of these & the claim that this filter could help alleviate dust mites and I was sold. Couldn't set them up fast enough when they arrived. They run very quietly at low speed & at high speed I only need to tweek the TV volume a little bit. The cat has improved and I'm not sneezing as often nor as violently as I usually do on high pollen-count days, an added bonus. They also don't take up much room and don't use a lot of power (I run them 24/7). I would suggest them to anyone one with a lot of upholstery, carpeting and/or allergies. They helped us!

Item arrived defective and needed to be returned. Overstock description did not list product maker. After recieving product found out maker was Magic Air.

I am so happy that I purchased this Hepa filter. My 4 year old son's asthma attacks are now under control. Although I was disappointed when I learned that the description on the box is different than that of Overstock's, I tried it, and am pleased to say it superceeds my expectations. I couldn't believe how dirty our air really was.

We got it about a month ago, and the true proof was the fact that my husband and I both stopped sneazing at home after the first 24 hours. We keep it on low all day. It's super quiet!

it reduced my girlfriends allergies and asthma in the place. I bought two. I'm just not crazy about the constant white noise when put on high. Oh well. Other than that, its great.

I am extremely happy with this product. My children both have asthma, and they are sleeping much better, and their attitudes are significantly improved with their sleep quality. However, you should be aware that on their high speed they are very noisy.

This is a great product. I bought it to clean the air in my children's room. End up getting it for our room. There is only 2 setting (low and high). Its great for the summer because it cools the room down but a bit cold for the winter. We also use it as a white noise machine since my hubby needs noise to sleep.

Purchased this instead of a humidifier for my bedroom as I often have a problem with sinus problems due to dust. It is compact and fits neatly in the corner of the room. I can tell the difference in the air quality in the room when it is on or off.

It's working well, congestion from allergies have eased up. I run it on low for less noise at night, not a bad price for the quality. I had a Oreck brand which I gave to my father in a nursing home and this one seems to work as well.

I have been pleased with this air filter so far. It isn't too big or small and seems to do the job for the 14'x15' bedroom i have it in. I originally got it due to my allergies to dust, dust mites and pretty much everything else under the sun and I have noticed an improvement since getting it. The only cons so far is that the "Hi" mode definitely sounds like a jet engine taking off. On the other hand, the "Low" mode is very quiet and I barely hear it. I shut the door to the room if I feel like putting it on Hi so it's not really an issue. I was skeptical that air filters in general acutally do anything but I have been impressed. I would recommend this product.

I can't believe I did not send this item back. It is TOO BIG and TOO LOUD!I did see any significant change in my room which is only 9 by 16.This product is junk. But I'm not giving up on you Overstock.I'll be back!!!

I bought this product with the hope that it would reduce the amount of particles in the air, along with controlling pet odors. It does an amazing job. I have noticed a reduction in my allergies, as well as a reduction in dust accumulation around the house. I bought another one shortly after I started using this one. I love it! A great deal.

A bit noisier than we thought, so run it when not in the room. Couldn't sleep with it on. Does the job OK though, so worth it.

My husband and I have both slept better since putting the unit in the bedroom.

I looked for a good air Purifier for a couple weeks before deciding to buy this one. I read all the reviews on tons of models. This one definately had the most savings and pretty good reviews. I was a little worried about the "white noise" that was mentioned in a few of the reviews but figured I could just turn it off while I was in the room if it bothered me. I have it in the living room with the tv and such ... On high power it sounds like a fan on high. definately annoying. on the lower setting it isn't very loud at all. at least half the noise of the AC. it's almost a soothing hum. I've left it on for about a week and I'm pretty impressed I notice a big difference in my breathing after one day. Definately reccommend this product

I have to agree with other reviewers that the Air Cleaner is not a silent product but why would I expect it to be? I am neither a light sleeper nor a heavy sleeper and the machine does not keep me awake. It has already made a big difference in the rooms I use it in and when I get up in the morning I can tell a big difference in my breathing.

I don't think I could be happier with my purchase. I got a great deal, the air filter is quiet, and I am not sneezing or getting a stuff nose all the time. I barely notice its on, but I definitely feel the effects of having cleaner air.

VERY loud when set on 'high'... louder than my AC actually! Other than that it is a great product.

I haven't really used this unit enough to give it a 5 star but so far it is everything the description of it says.

I really like this. My son and husband have allergies, and when this is on, it cleans the air and they don't suffer the sneezing etc. I really am thankful for it. ASW
