I was very pleasantly surprised with these curtain panels! (I purchased the Chocolate color) Some reviewers said they weren't pleased with the fabric, and it attracted pet hair... which was a concern of mine with my very furry pup! Please know that the fabric is thick, doesn't look cheap, and does NOT attract pet hair. I think they hang nicely, and REALLY keep the cold out, and the heat in... it was a very obvious improvement while sleeping next to a drafty window!
I can't recommend these enough. They arrived super-quick, and the price is wonderful for high-quality drapery panels... and yes they do make the bedroom nice and dark! :)
Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I just received my black out curtain that I ordered in Chocolate. They arrived a bright medium brown, not the color that I was expecting. They are very shiny and attract all duct and pet hair. They do a great job of blocking out the light are are wide enough to only use one panel per window.
I was pleasantly suprised when I recieved my package. I had orderd 2 colors, chocolate brown for the livingrm & blue for my bedroom. Wow, I'm so happy with both. The gromet tops make it so much easier to position & they hang beautifully. The material is so soft & silky. The backs are the same color & I really like this. I couldn't have asked for a better quality of curtain.
I will be ordering more for the sliders in the bedroom & livingrm. This definately was a value compared to 'big box stores' that charge 'per panel' & the material doesn't come close to matching these!
This is the second set of these that I bought. I got these in burguny a while back and now that I have redone the room in navy I got another pair in navy. The material is very nice. they pull closed completely, and they offer great sun block. The room is nice an dark for a long nights sleep and they look nice open as well
I purchased the sage green color and was incredibly pleased with the results. They look more expensive than they were, the color is lovely, and best/most important of all--they really are blackout. Great value, really works!
I bought these curtains to compliment another set of Eclipse solar curtains that I had purchased (and accidentally forgotten to buy 4 panels instead of 2.) I thought these were Eclipse when I bought them, because that was the search term I used, but they are not. Overall, they are nice curtains, they fit perfectly in my huge apartment windows, the color is milk-chocolate and both front and back of the panel is the color color. The grommets are great because I have the curtains on an 82" spring rod, so it's easy to slide them shut when I need to block the sun from the west, and I have found the curtains to be entirely effective. My only drawback was the price. As I also own the chocolate Eclipse curtains (which are a little darker in color), I know they are just as effective and cost about half as much, but they also appear out-of-stock just about everywhere, which was why I was willing to pay this much.
I work from midnight to 8am and I need good blackout curtains. These curtains do the job. Only complaint is that the holes where the curtain rod goes through are a little large, so it does let in some light from the top if you have a thinner curtain rod.
I'd like to order the gray, but need to know is it a dark color or light, and is it more of a slate/pewter tone or a bluish gray?mellison on Jun 30, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your inquiry, mellison. These curtains are a lighter bluish grey. We try to represent the colors of our products accurately, but unfortunately due to the difference in monitor colors we cannot guarantee that the color will match exactly what you see on your screen. We hope this helps. Thank you for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 2, 2014

My Window is 8 foot wide, how many sets of panels should I order? Also I do not know what a grommet is. What do I need to order to hang them up?alicianmark on Apr 22, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello alicianmark, Two (one set) will cover it, but four (two sets) will look fuller. It really just depends on your preferences. These panels are 104 inches wide together.Your window is 96 inches wide and we recommend 2-3 times the width. A grommet is the reinforced circle that the rod goes through to hang the curtain. These grommets will be able to hang on a curtain rod that is 1.5 inches in diameter or smaller. I hope this helps, thanks for shopping with us.

You will need two sets. A grommet is a metal fitting that is on the top of the curtain. A pole type rod is all you need. Just remember that for 8 ft buy a rod with center support.reilly32 on May 12, 2014
I would order 4 panels at the minimum. My window is 56" wide and I ordered 2 panels, then purchased two more so I could get more folds while they are closed.
a grommet is a round , usually metal ring on which to slide a rod through for easy hanging. The only thing you need to purchase is a rod that will fit through the grommets, which is simple, The grommets on these specific panels are large enough for a medium to large diameter rod. I used a standard rod with pretty finials at the end in oil rubbed bronze to match the hue of the curtains.
Good luck and enjoy these panels, I know I do.jobemmons on Jun 6, 2014
I understand that its recommended for the panel width to be 2-3x wider than the window. Since my window is 80", it would seem that I need to order (2) pairs of these. How would I go about installing it? Is there a way to connect these panels together, so that instead of 4 panels, there would now be 2?jus2impress on Nov 18, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question jus2impress. The Grommet Top Thermal Insulated Blackout 64-inch Curtain Pair are 104 inches wide. And they cannot be connected. Have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 27, 2013
If you overlap the two curtains on the rod, you won't be able to tell when one ends and the other begins, unless you look very closely. It works beautifully.dleney on Dec 1, 2013
Used one pair on a 70 inch window. They are perfect. Check the width per pair . ( I hates skimpy looking curtains) They were wide enough to extend the curtain rod a few inches on either side of the window. This really helped keep the room dark.reilly32 on May 12, 2014
The width of the window is 59". Would one set of two panels providing 104" in width be sufficient? Thank you.luvdriven540i on Nov 7, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question luvdriven540i. Yes, we think it would be sufficient to purchase one set of two panels, this also includes tie backs, so you should be ok!! Have a great day. overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 8, 2013
If you truely are looking for blackout curtains you'd probably be better off going wider width to insure no slivers of light come through.jerilynn1952 on Nov 11, 2013
I got these for my dad and although the style is a guy look due to the hooks it takes some material away from the actual size of the curtain. He had an 80" opening and we would have needed two sets but he switched to another rod style adn they worked better.shirlpurple8415 on Oct 10, 2013

I was trying to order a gray color in the grommet curtains size 64inch. It does not give me that color option when I try to order. I understand that the item is sold out, but will you be getting more in soon. I really need to order them for my room since my bedspread is a pewter color. I am very new to curtain shopping, so I really need assistance ASAP. I need curtains for 4 windows (2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living room). A carpenter gave me measurements of 40 X 72. Can you please give me some advice on purchasing some decent, affordable curtains?tigerlily76 on Oct 26, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
For proper fullness, panels should measure two to three times the width of your window. You might also want sheets that are longer to reach the ground but that is your preference.overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 29, 2012
If there is no backing, how is this considered thermal? I ordered other curtains from a diff website, they said they were 99% blocking, i got them and they are almost see thru, I want to make sure they are thermal and will block out the light as well as cool down the room. thxmdnelson74 on Jun 28, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your interest. They are considered thermal and according to customer reviews, do a good job of blocking out the light. (Please see customer reviews). Feel free to contact us again with any further questions. overstockcustomercare1 on Jun 29, 2012
I currently have 6 pairs of these curtains in my cart. I have two windows each measuring 103 inches in width. I know need to purchase 2 curtain rods. I don't want to order curtain rods that are too thick for the grommets because obviously the curtains wouldnt "slide" easily when the curtains are being opened and close. What would you suggest???kathy8098 on May 7, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
The grommets have an exterior diameter of 2.7 inches and an interior diameter of 1.6 inches. These should work fine on rods that are 1.5 inches in diameter or smaller.overstockcustomercare1 on May 10, 2012
