This step stool is easy to open and can be stored pretty easily. I have used it on a couple of occasions and was worried as I am overweight. It held my weight without a problem. It seems to be very sturdy. I would recommend this product.

This is a great easy to use ladder. I love the wide steps and the ladder's light weight. I bought it to replace a metal ladder with 3" steps that I could not use. This ladder is much safer.

Initially apprehensive about using the step ladder as I weigh 205 lbs. After several uses, I feel confident that the step ladder is safe and will not collapse. The first step adds a 10 inch height, the second step provides an additional 10 inches. Total height distance is 20 inches. Very easy to fold and lightweight. I would guess it weighs about 5 -7 pounds. This item looks exactly like the photo. It doesn't look cheap. The step itself is wide and has grooves in the pattern of the steel to provide a more secure grip. Rubber surface protectors are on each leg. The handrail makes getting on and off the step ladder easier and safer. I also discovered that I feel more secure on the second step as I lean my shin against the handrail to stabilize myself. Great product! ( I was unable to find a step ladder that was recommended for individuals over 250 pounds for less than $80.00 at multiple retail/hardware stores.) No assembly is required.

I bought the step ladder for my son to use in his dorm room. He is now able to use all of the storage that is normally out of reach. When not in use, the step ladder folds up and can be stored in a small space.

A good quality product. The box the ladder came in had been crushed, and one of the steps has a dent in it however, this blemish does not create a problem related to the structural support of the ladder. Thanks Overstock

I selected this based on the width measurement, which unhappily included the supports. I wanted to be able to sit on the top step to put on my shoes as well as use it as a step ladder. Unfortunately my behind is a bit wider than that top step. I used to have a 2-step ladder with a padded top step and have had no luck finding a replacement, so decided to try this instead. As far as a step stool, it's OK, just not exactly what I was looking for.
