As another reviewer posted, these are ideal for the bedroom. The light is strong enough to illuminate the room, but not so bright that it blinds a person just before bed. I'm not sure I could read very long by this light. I bought these as a first foray into LED lighting. Based on this purchase I'm likely to buy more LED bulbs to replace my incandescent bulbs, perhaps even instead of some CFLs since these are less toxic when tossed into the landfill and even longer-lived.
I feel they are a good quality and put out plenty enough light for a small lamp. The best thing is that they cost so little to run and that
makes me feel good. It takes a little while to get used to the type of
light that it gives out but the low cost makes up for that and you get used to it.
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? First time
If you are looking for a large amount of light, this bulb is not for you. But what it will give you is a soft white light which we use in our bedroom to help set the night before sleep. Not a harsh bright light.
