Well made and good light projection angles....low power though, estimate a 20 watt replacement equiv.
I feel they are a good quality and put out plenty enough light for a small lamp. The best thing is that they cost so little to run and that makes me feel good. It takes a little while to get used to the type of light that it gives out but the low cost makes up for that and you get used to it.
If you are looking for a large amount of light, this bulb is not for you. But what it will give you is a soft white light which we use in our bedroom to help set the night before sleep. Not a harsh bright light.
These bulbs are of incredibly poor quality. The light given off is just fine; a blue-ish hue, equal to about a 20 watt incandescent bulb. To the point: the craftsmanship of this item is shoddy. One bulb didn't make it through a single day, let alone the "ten times longer" promised in the description. For the cost of this type of bulb, the claims should be rock solid. Of the pair, the one remaining, functioning bulb is still going strong after 1 week, but I am unable to tell why the failure of the first bulb occurred. Based on this 50% chance of failure, I'd say this item is not worth your money. Go to a better-known and better reviewed company than "GRIP" for your energy efficient lightbulbs (they should probably change their name to "gripe")! I was foolish to purchase a lightbulb which is not UL listed. Please learn from my mistake. If you want an LED bulb, go with something that is UL listed and FCC approved, like EarthLED EvoLux.
Not as bright as promised and the insides of one of the bulbs is loose. It is so loose I have to be careful no to move the lamp at all.
As another reviewer posted, these are ideal for the bedroom. The light is strong enough to illuminate the room, but not so bright that it blinds a person just before bed. I'm not sure I could read very long by this light. I bought these as a first foray into LED lighting. Based on this purchase I'm likely to buy more LED bulbs to replace my incandescent bulbs, perhaps even instead of some CFLs since these are less toxic when tossed into the landfill and even longer-lived.
