I was excited with my purchase thinking that I would catch up on some home projects. After mounting I turned on the grinder and found that one grinding was completely warped causing a strong and dangerous vibration. I removed the warped wheel and with the remaining wheel attempted to sharpen a garden hoe,,, when I pressed the hoe to the wheel the wheel AND motor stopped, I had to spin the wheel with my hand to get it going again. Completely DISSATISFIED.

This is an excellent grinder for heavy duty metal work. I was looking for something more versatile. I didn't read the product description carefully enough. But I must say, for the price....it was a mistake worth making. When I need this kind of tool the Buffalo grinder does it's job.

I had to buy an aftermarket wire wheel which did not fit properly because the aftermarket wire wheels are more narrow than the grinding wheels that come with the product. I bought a few washers which made up for the spacing issues and corrected the problem. The grinder itself is pretty powerful once it gets up to full speed and performed very well. In changing the wheels, it would have been helpful if there was some type of lock on the hub or a hole that you could put a screw driver through so you could tighten more easily.

Instead of wearing out your muscles, a dull drill bit will inevitably wear out your drill. The best way to protect your investment in high-quality power tools is to give your drill bits regular spot sharpening with a file. Use a grinder or visit a professional sharpener if the bits become really dull.
