    Received the item early delivery, package in good condition. Nice looking umbrella. i like to lift system, less parts than crank type. installed on table and on the second day one of the bows broke. i have been thru numerous aluminum bow umbrellas and tried this one to see if the wood bows were better. I had already discarded the shipping container so i opted to glue the broken bow. it is still OK. I was hoping for a better quality wood on the bows, the inside of the wood appeared to have some type foam core and not solid wood. i am still happy with the appearance of the unit and am prepared to replace the bows if necessary. i wish there were umbrellas with fiberglass bows available.

    • I had a similar umbrella for probably 6 or so years but recently I didn't get it closed up in time and it was damaged badly by a horrible storm - the canopy was torn apart by some nasty hail and it was carried away and smashed against a tree breaking some of the ribs. I loved that umbrella! I don't like the crank style - I had one of those many years ago and it consistently malfunctioned. The pulley system is simple and works consistently! The reviews on this umbrella helped me make the decision to purchase it. I hope I find it as nice as the reviewers did.
