Grand Workcenter Kitchen Cart

The cart was exactly what we were looking for and fit perfectly in the space. It has a large drawer for storage (we wanted to use it as a tea and coffee server). The wood grain is so beautiful and blends in with any wood grain already in our kitchen (med oak). The butcher block top is awesome although we found that it was a little rough in the beginning until we started to oil it on a regular basis. The bottom is great for a large storage basket or with company for a tin of ice. The only minus is that it literally takes a few hours to assemble. We love ours! I would give it a five star review except the difficulty assembling the cart.

This is more than a kitchen cart! It has a very generous drawer which comes in handy when you don't have a lot of storage space in the kitchen. The cart is large enough to be useful but not in the way. There's lots of space on top as well as on the bottom shelf. I love the towel bars as well. Putting it together was easy and to make it look less like a rolling cart, I left the rollers off. The craftsmanship and beautiful wood make this cart a purchase that is well worth the cost. I recommend this product if you want a great looking addition to your kitchen that will last!

I ordered this piece after another from Overstock turned out to be the wrong size. This is a very nice piece. It was simple to put together and all the pieces arrived in perfect shape. I did lightly sand the top as it needed just one more pass with fine/medium grit sandpaper to make it smooth as silk. I also re-oiled the top. I did not find the drawer bottom to be flimsy as did another reviewer. I'm using it for items that were crowding my countertop, blender, toaster, cookbooks and other utensils. It glides beautifully. If a person felt the drawer bottom would not hold if filled with heavier items it could easily be replaced with a piece of MDF. However, I would load it up without fear of damage. I checked the price of this same item at many other sites and Overstock's price was substantially lower.

Funny thing about this drop leaf....it doesn't have one! It took over 3 hours to put together (but I'm not mechanically inclined). The two inch maple top is beautiful. The open bottom shelf was damaged and will hopefully be replaced. I really wanted an eating space tho so I was very disappointed. The bottom of the drawer is very flimsy and will not hold up to any weight. Overall not a good buy for the money.
