The wood is a decent quality, deep reddish-brown wenge hardwood veneer with a tight visible and tactile grain. The black doors are a lacquer, not black glass as it might appear. There were two large bags of at least three pounds of screws and miscellaneous hardware. The instructions were laughably sparse with poorly drawn and minimally detailed drawings. The Dead Sea Scrolls were more legible. My suggestion is to organize wood panels, hardware and screws into separate piles on your floor. I already owned a decent 18V drill/driver but the sheer amount of drilling and assembly made the purchase of a much lighter $30 rechargeable driver worthwhile. Assemble your first cabinet through trial and error (top, back and bottom first, sides last) and once you get it right, leave it out as a template for the rest. Not all the pre-drilled holes line up so be prepared to force the occasional screw into an odd angle or two. Great price and even better with a coupon. Not Roche Bobois but several notches better than Ikea.

This is an incredible value for a modern wall unit of this size. The unit looks good and is well constructed as far as RTA furniture goes. I mounted the top units at 58" high and placed a 46" LCD TV on the base and it looks incredible in our living room. Overstock's shipping and delivery was exceptional as well. With that said, assembly and wall mounting does take some time, but that's to be expected with 10 foot of wall cabinetry. My only complaint is that the assembly instructions are almost non-existent. It was a little overwhelming when you see all of the enclosed hardware and there is only a tiny picture showing minimal instructions. If you are familiar with RTA furniture, you can figure it out, but I would have hoped for more instructions for furniture at this price point.

Shipped promptly, delivered in excellent condition. Great wall unit. It is BIG and very heavy, bigger than it looks on picture, but worth it. Good quality product, looks beautiful.
