Customer Reviews
I got this umbrella stand because I bought a 11-foot Tiki umbrella, and the umbrella has a large wood pole that doesn't fit the average umbrella stand. It has inserts so it will actually hold any size pole, which is a nice feature. I actually bought two of these. One is sitting underneath my patio table to hold the umbrella over the table. It is very weighty, but I think it did topple over once on a windy day when the Tiki was left open, but the Tiki umbrella is very top heavy.
The product is very attractive and blends well with any black aluminum patio furniture.
I'm using under a table to hold an 11' umbrella. No problem with the weight. The problem is that it began to rust immediately.....rust all over my deck! Not happy!
Unfortunately I am very unhappy with this base. It isn't heavy enough to keep our average sized umbrella from tipping over if there's more than a gentle breeze blowing, the opening is either too big or too small depending on whether or not you use the plug in the top so our umbrella tilts and the base is rusting like crazy and staining our patio. I've had it for less than two months but since I through the box and all of my paperwork away I'm probably going to have to throw it away too :(
looked great until a light wind blew and we found that it tips over. Perhaps our umbrella is too large, though it has wind gussets, but if the base had a wider circumference (base) it would balance the umbrellas weight. (it falls without 'tipping' the umbrella)
