Maybe because the word " gourmet" was in the title I thought it would be a fantastic buy. I like the fact that I got many pieces for the price. I like the look of the set but, they are very thin and things burn REALLY easy. Also, no matter what I have cooked, I cannot get the bottom of any pot to look new again. It won't shine like before. I guess " too good to be true" applies here.

I would have to agree that the handles appear to be a plastic, and they are not heavy as the appear to look on the picture. I was not pleased.. So, I am looking for more .. I will use them occasionally anymore than that they may break...not worth the cost..

this set looked better on screen. its ok but does have a cheap look upon arrival. doesn't appear that it will last as long as I would have thought but it is a nice starter set.

Should have returned but a family member used one before I was able to pack them for resend. Plus, this was an alternative, not what I wanted. I should have return them and not open to examine. The handles are flimzey and the weight of them are not a heavy as I like. I guess there is nothing I can do about it now.

I have had this pot set for about a month and a half. I bought this pot set because of the size, quality, and quantity. When I finally did receive the set, the set was actually smaller than what I saw and light in weight. I thought that it would be sort of heavy material. It will do though. It does cook well and is dishwasher safe. I liked it because it has different size pots and has a top to every one of them. I thought the handles would be actual wood handles but is wood accent but I still like it.

Ok...so, i do like this set, it's not the best because i cannot afford anything over what i paid for this....i've had it for a few days now and it's ok, cooks well with minimal heat....it good for me because my boyfriend and i just moved in and we cannot afford anything more expensive so i would recommend this to anyone who's starting out, you just got to know how to use your tools, in this case your pot and pans.

I am usually a big fan of Overstock.com. But I'm really disappointed about this cookset. This is not the quality I was expecting at all. Feels light and looks cheap. Not worth it.

I am so pleased with this cookware. Last night I cooked potatoes and was surprised how fast and evenly they cooked. The pot was like a pressure cooker and it held in the heat. Clean up was easy too. I love the little hole on the lids so that the pot does not boil over. I've never seen anything like it. The workmanship is beautiful. My brother just got an apartment and this would make a great housewarming gift. Thank you Overstock!

I was very pleased with this cookware set, which I purchased for my son for Christmas. For the price, I was amazed at the quality of the workmanship! These are not cheesy, flimsy pieces! They're quite strong and heavy enough, and I think they'll last a good long time! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for durability and workmanship is that, since the set is brand new and barely used, I can't really say for sure how durable they'll turn out to be, but I CAN say they appear to be very well-made. I plan to order another set for myself soon!

I bought this set in mistake, because I was looking for another set, which I spotted in the store but hesitated to buy because of the price. That set was much more expensive, and I was surprised at the relatively lower price on Overstock. So, I bought it immediately.After receiving, however, I decided to open the box and see what I was really getting. And it turned out that I liked it at first sight. So, I started cooking with several pots. This set looks as delicately and beautifully made as the other one (of a different and probably more well-known brand) I found in the store, and it works perfect as well. Not to mention its price and solid quality.Well, what can I say. All the marketing illusions! I learned a very important lesson that sometimes expensive products with big names are not necessarily better than other brands, and if you look carefully in the market, you can always find a good bargain with an almost equivalent quality.Five star!

I bought this set to replace my old mismatched college cookware - if you like the feel of camping cookware this set is for you. It is stainless but very very thin. The handles are not wood but a woodish looking resin. The glass tops are actually heavier than the pans themselves. I decided to give one a try and boiled water and the smell off my cooktop from the pan was pretty horrendous...so I packaged them up a full refund. Great value - poor quality.

I PURCHASED THIS SET TO GIVE TO MY SON FOR HIS NEW HOME. IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SET I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE QUALITY, AND BEAUTY WAS BEST. THE APPEARANCE WAS QUALITY, YET "MASCULINE" i AM THINKING OF BUYING ONE FOR MYSELF. I WAS SURPRISED WHEN WE OPEN THE SET, AS THE PRICE WAS ALMOST TOO REASONABLE. * ONLY ONE THING, WHEN WE OPENED IT ONE OF THE LIDS HAD BEEN BROKEN, THE TOP THING ON TOP. THE REST OF THE SET DID NOT TAKE AWAY FROM ITS VALUE. THANK YOU

I was disappointed in this purchase. The set looks attractive but is not of great quality. One lid was broken upon arrival. The handles are loose fitting and the pan I've used the most is already discolored and it's only a few weeks old. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great looking, great to cook with, easy to wash. It is probably the best price you are going to find for a good quality, introductory cookware set. I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a starter cookware set.

I love cooking and i'm absolutely pleased with this set, it's affordable stainless steel, i've been cooking with it everyday for almost 3 wks now and am pleased with the results.
