I am very satisfied. The dehumidified was delivered quickly. It has been running smoothly and removing water from my basement continuously.

I had the same brand in my basement for 10 years before it decided it was time to depart and just run with out sucking up the moisture. I shopped all the bargin "Super Stores" and found that OverStock.com was the best place to finalize my purchase. The machine works like a champ and does what it supppose to do but understand why it was probably returned because it is "loud!" I am happy its down stairs and not in my main living quarters. I would say overall on a scale 1-10 this would rate as a "8"

I have owned this humidifier for about a year. It worked great for our basement and took care of all our needs. It was a little noisy, but since it was in the basement, it was not a big deal. During the winter months we unplugged it because we had a pellet stove burning in our basement and didn't feel that we needed it. Just a few days ago I plugged it back in and it was so noisy!!!! It sounded just like an air compressor. I thought it was so noisy because of the lack of use, it was not. The noise got worse and worse. I went down in my basement to see if I could see what the problem was and it stunk so bad!! I knew then that the dehumidifier had stopped working. While it ran, I LOVED it, but for the money that was spent on it, it died way too soon.

I have been using this humidifier for about 2 weeks now. So far so good. It is fairly quiet when running. Seems to work really well. For the money, I wasn't able to find a better dehumidifier.

I've only had this for about a month but so far it works great! My carpets are not damp any longer. Its a bit louder than I anticipated but it is tolerable. Its easy to operate and has wheels so its easy to move around. It has a light and audible alarm for when it needs to be emptied. The container that holds the water is easy to remove and empty. It just slides out the front. The only con I've noticed is that it does seem to produce alot of heat. I would recommend this.

When the recent rains and flooding started in GA, I needed a new dehumidifier. All the big box stores were sold out and no idea if they were getting any more. The internet and Overstock.com came to the rescue with this Goldstar 50 pint humidifier. At first i was a little skeptical about it being a refurbished model, but I needed one fast, so I placed the order. It arrived in 3 days, in brand new condition. Plugged it in and it's been running 24x7 for the last 4 weeks without any problems, thankfully!.. It's also much quieter than the other brand I purchased 2 years ago. My only recommendation would be to be careful with the handle built in to the water bucket. It is not as sturdy as I would have liked, but with some caution, when removing, carrying and emptying the bucket, it should be OK.

It does a great job of removing the moisture, and I like the electronic controls, but it is noisier than I expected. The fan has two speeds, low and high, but the noise is tolerable only on the low setting.

So far we have been very pleased with the dehumidifier. We are getting the results we were looking to get from this product. We don't find it particularly noisey.

The shipping was very fast, the product came undamaged, and was plug in ready. We started using it right away and could tell a difference in our basement almost immediately. It took out the damp smell and mustiness within a day. It's very quiet for a basement dehumidifier. We had to empty the container at least once a day so we ended up buying a small hose to let it drain constantly and it's been working like a charm.

This died one month after 1 year warranty expired. Sealed freon system quit and is not covered. Run as fast as you can from this product!

The Goldstar has been effective at removing excess moisture from our basement. We had been using an older demumidier before and were suprised at how much moisture was removed after we started using the Goldstar. The bucket it a little difficult to remove since there isn't really an indentation but there is a great handle inside the bucket which makes emptying the water bucket really easy.

I am a long-time user of dehumidifiers. Usually they last about 2 years for me under continous use circumstances. I've had this one for about a month now, and have had no problems with it. The price was over $50 less than I found anywhere else, which prompted my purchase. This is the first time I have tried a reconditioned unit. Unfortunately, time in service is the only true test. Keeping my fingers crossed.

It came in new condition, you only could say it was refurbished because it says so on the package. Works well from the start. There was no drain hose included but the old one from the unit I replaced fits just fine. The compressor is powerful yet relatively quiet.Main thing in the appliances like this one is durability. Mine is working OK for two months. I hope it will stay like this for a couple of years. My previous unit gave up in just 18 months (different brand)

A bit difficult to understand the directions and set up the unit. The phone support was excellent. Works well and is quiet.

Awesome product. Works really well. Living in south Louisiana with 90% humidity on a regular basis, gives this unit a great test. It will remove 50 pints of moisture in less than 24 hours. Only con, There is a setting to run 2 hrs or 4hrs. The problem here is it runs for 2 or 4hrs and then is off for 2 or 4hrs. I prefer not to use this setting letting it run when needed to acheive the desired percentage setting. Again A+ product.

I found this product easy to use.It has changed the damp, dank basement into a much drier place!The air is noticably different now.

Have had this about 3 weeks and works as advertised. Not as noisy as some people reported, but maybe that's because it hasn't become worn in yet? Was emptying the bucket once a day in my basement until I connected the direct drain to a hose into my sump. Much better solution.Good quality, good value. works well.

So far, so good. I would agree that this unit works well as it removes moisture well, doesn't overflow when the bucket is full. Very noisy though. If you intend to use it in an unoccupied basement or room, it should do well. The bucket is a little hard to slide out of the unit. But overall I like it.
