Golden Sand Outdoor Wall Fixture

This light is a really beautiful and unusual alternative to all the endless but samey variations of the carriage light style fixture that are available. The rounded leaded glass at the top is really unusual for this type of fixture and the whitish opaque glass at the bottom has tiny bubbles in it like blown glass. You get plenty of light without any unpleasant glare. At first we put 100 watt bulbs in it but it was too bright and you could not see the beauty of the fixture, so we changed it to 60 watt bulbs and that was much better. We have used low energy bulbs and you cannot see the spiral shape whether they are off or on, and so look just like incandescent bulbs. It is very easy to change the bulbs, you just reach your hand up underneath and unscrew them, which also means that they can't get filled with trapped insects. We have a large house near the sea with lots of outdoor lights and we have bought 11 of these. They really are perfect for a waterfront property.

Love the design. Tired of traditional Colonials.

Although we could not use these for out front, I love the design. So many of the houses in our neighborhood have the traditional carriage lights and I was going for something different. (The home improvement stores in our area seem to be loaded with traditional lighting). They would have looked beautiful. But, they won't work with the lighting mounts that we have on each side of the garage. Just to let you know-- these are Wall Mount only!!

How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Dead on.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very nice quality.

How accurate was the on site description of the product? Dead on. But, they need to clarify that it is Wall-Mount ONLY.

Bling for my new house

This is the first product I have reviewed and I am still amazed at the find. Not your traditional carriage light. But exactly what I needed for a costal home. The color is lioke the clean pure sand. The embellishment is like leaded glass with polished pieces of black and clear jewels. I liked these lights so much that they became the inspiration for my new costal home. I even bought a front door with wrought iton leaded glass to match the lights. Great buy!

These were actually bigger and sturdier than I imagined. They look great on my house. No one in the area has anything like it.

Matches my creamy yellow/biege trim (creamy sand)

Ordered this to replace light beside patio door. Love the fixture itself and opaque shade with color at top. Looks great, easy to install. With energy saving bulb, able to get plenty of light from 100 watt equivalent. Dresses up the deck - love it.

I love it. It's beautiful and so different.

I am very happy that I purchased this item. It is much larger and darker than I thought it would it be but I am still pleased. When I say darker I mean it is more of a wet sand color than pristine white but I love it anyway.

How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Not quite as white as photo

Please tell us about the quality of the product. It appears to be of very good quality

How accurate was the on site description of the product? Pretty accurate except it is darker than I thought it would be.
