This light is a really beautiful and unusual alternative to all the endless but samey variations of the carriage light style fixture that are available. The rounded leaded glass at the top is really unusual for this type of fixture and the whitish opaque glass at the bottom has tiny bubbles in it like blown glass. You get plenty of light without any unpleasant glare. At first we put 100 watt bulbs in it but it was too bright and you could not see the beauty of the fixture, so we changed it to 60 watt bulbs and that was much better. We have used low energy bulbs and you cannot see the spiral shape whether they are off or on, and so look just like incandescent bulbs. It is very easy to change the bulbs, you just reach your hand up underneath and unscrew them, which also means that they can't get filled with trapped insects. We have a large house near the sea with lots of outdoor lights and we have bought 11 of these. They really are perfect for a waterfront property.

Although we could not use these for out front, I love the design. So many of the houses in our neighborhood have the traditional carriage lights and I was going for something different. (The home improvement stores in our area seem to be loaded with traditional lighting). They would have looked beautiful. But, they won't work with the lighting mounts that we have on each side of the garage. Just to let you know-- these are Wall Mount only!!

This is the first product I have reviewed and I am still amazed at the find. Not your traditional carriage light. But exactly what I needed for a costal home. The color is lioke the clean pure sand. The embellishment is like leaded glass with polished pieces of black and clear jewels. I liked these lights so much that they became the inspiration for my new costal home. I even bought a front door with wrought iton leaded glass to match the lights. Great buy!

These were actually bigger and sturdier than I imagined. They look great on my house. No one in the area has anything like it.

Ordered this to replace light beside patio door. Love the fixture itself and opaque shade with color at top. Looks great, easy to install. With energy saving bulb, able to get plenty of light from 100 watt equivalent. Dresses up the deck - love it.

I am very happy that I purchased this item. It is much larger and darker than I thought it would it be but I am still pleased. When I say darker I mean it is more of a wet sand color than pristine white but I love it anyway.

These lights are elegant, with a contemporary style and look great with our home. The glass is opaque with fine bubbles which prevents glare. We are very pleased, as usual. Thanks again Overstock!

The light is a very good value. The quality is very good for the price and light looks great on my house. I purchased four these lights to replace some ugly black builder's specials that were on my house. We are very happy with our choice. The only minor complaint I have is the bracket to install the lights is not adjustable (it has to be installed perfectly straight) so it may not align with the current bracket holes if you are replacing a fixture.

I wanted a unique light for the back porch, and this fits the bill nicely. It was exactly what I needed. Usually I order light fixtures from Home Depot, but they didn't have anything as attractive as this, and the price was right. It looks more expensive than it is. The touch of stained glass is what sold me on this light.

The entire purchasing process was very easy to navigate; The description of the fixture was accurate; and, the product passed inspection by the contractor. It 's beautiful, and durable, adding an appeal that dresses up a plain front of house. It feels like it will be around for years. The texture of the finish adds to the overall appearance.

This is a beautiful classy light. It is nicer looking in person than on-line. There is no blue tint. It is very bright with the new incandescent bulbs underneath. No other neighbors have one like this-so it is unique.

This is lovely, I just love it! If you have a beach theme going on this is perfect.

This light was absolutely perfect for our newly painted front porch. There are so few choices available in white/sand type colors, so I was thrilled when I saw this. It looks even better than your picture, although the picture makes it look like it has a blueish color on top, when actually its all just clear or frosted white glass. We painted our house a slate blue color with cream trim and this is just the jewelry for the porch! I wish it came in a sensor light, I would buy it for my garage doors area. Im still struggling to find an unusual light in a white finish. Overstock price was decent and shipping was quick. Thanks we are very satisified!
