color of rug is remarkably exactly as shown in picture. I thought I remembered an ollive stripe in the description (may have been confused as I looked at 100's of rugs on line!) which is not accurate, as it was intended to coordinate with a true olive color carpet nearby on my stairs. If it is in the description, it actually is a muddy khaki color, but it' works with the rusts and golds. It definately has a feel of 70's to it which took a few moments to get used to. This was purchased as a foyer rug underneath a mahogony bench. My family noticed it's plushness immediately . The quality is excellent. Must love the colors, as shown in picture.
