Completely damaged... poor customer service
This is the second time I've submitted a review. It's not a favorable review for Overstock so not sure if it will be posted. Nonetheless, when I received this desk it sat for a few months before being unpacked, awaiting for my husband's return from deployment. When opened the glass top was shattered in a million pieces. The back of the frame was completely busted in several pieces with nails sticking out in several locations. It was extremely dangerous to dispose of the remains of the desk as it was a heap of shattered glass, busted wood, and exposed nails. I contacted the manufacturer of the desk and Overstock to see if they could replace the glass top and the back frame. Neither resource could replace the parts that were damaged. Overstock said they would refund me the price of the desk, but INSISTED that I return the remaining parts of the busted frame to them, AND pay for packaging of the frame. I attempted to several times to explain to them that the parts that I had were dangerous to handle and basically trash and offered to send them pictures of the desk. The said it didn't matter that I must send the damaged parts of the desk back. So basically I spent ** transporting trash back to them and they were not willing to reimburse me. I have never been so disappointed in a company.

Reclaimed = shoddy
This desk is drastically overpriced for the quality of the item. Reclaimed is code for careless finishing. The footings for the glass top are not level, glass top wobbles. The packaging was also low quality. Most of the styrafoam packing was broken into pieces by the time it arrived at home home. Fortunately this did not effect the desk.

Nice desk, but ...
The desk looks just like in the picture but the quality is not as good as I expected it to be, particularly after reading all the reviews. The wood feels light (hallow) and prefab although it's probably real wood. I think the finish makes it look like fake wood. The glass feels like good quality and it's nice and solid. The desk was easy to put together and it looks nice in our bedroom, although i probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd been able to see it first before ordering it.

We love it
The desk is exactly what we were looking for. The color matches our wood floors beautifully. Only problem is it arrived damaged. They attached the legs prior to shipping and every one is broken. I have a very handy husband who can fix them, but--beware...either you fix or send back. That is why I rated it good and not excellent. Otherwise it's unique and we love it

Solid desk for the price!
We bought this desk to use in our open plan living/kitchen area as a place for letters, bills, and somewhere to sit for homework/household stuff. We wanted something that was real wood, but we didn't want to spend a lot on it. This desk is just what I hoped for! It is a little industrial/rustic/modern and fits with our modern decor very well. The wood is not very heavy, but I guess I didn't expect that in a product at this price point. I was worried that the wood wouldn't go well with all the other finishes in the space, but it's very versatile--not too light or too dark. Also, it doesn't look very "distressed" so it can go with a lot of things. The glass top is heavy and well made. It was easy to assemble and fits in our space nicely. We've already gotten several compliments on it.

Great Glass Top Desk
I was looking for a glass top desk with an industrial vintage feel. This desk was a great price and fit the description perfectly. Personally I am using this desk more for my paint and small crafts studio. I'm not sure I would like it for a writing or computer desk because of the glass top - but it's perfect if you need to clean up a messy surface. The glass is good quality and a nice thickness.

Nice looking but damaged
Like this desk a lot but there is a crack in one of the wood bars at the base. I decided to keep it but you might want to consider this for your purposes.

perfect size
I love this desk! It is the size I needed to go i my living room without taking over the room. Love the glass top also! Part of the frame arrived broken at the joints and we were able to fix it. The packing of this product was great. I believe that it had gotten damaged during the shipping process. The box had been handled very rough. I really like the look of the desk!
