After reading the other reviews, I knew what to expect. The coloring is indeed gun metal, the ball is a weighty clear glass. The lamp arrived well packaged, and took only minutes to assemble-- just screw the 3-4 pieces together. I hadn't purchased the 3-way bulb so had to do that. I'll probably buy another.

Just received this beautiful lamp. Was so easy to assemble took less then 10 minutes. The cost of shipping is fantastic and the packageing was great. The 3-way light was a big factor in my pruchase. The base is heavy and stable. Just beautiful. The flared lampshade gives off the perfect light to read by. Well worth the price. Very happy with it.

These are beautiful lamps. The base is VERY heavy and seems like it will hold the lamps steady. The shades are ok, nothing special but considering most lamps don't even come with shades anymore, you can't beat it. My only negative about the lamps is that they ARE NOT dark bronze, they are GUNMETAL GREY. They are MUCH darker than they appear on the website, but luckily for me they still match my room.

I have pets. I was looking for something heavy enough to be extra stable, so would not tip over easily. This lamp is high quality, was a snap to screw together. No tools were needed at all. The round glass ball decoration is rich. Love this lamp!

I was hesitant to purchase this due to the expense of returning it if I didn't like it, but after reading the reviews of others, thought I would go ahead and order it. Am I ever glad I did! WOW - It is absolutely gorgeous. In fact, I ordered another one after it arrived and they are perfect for my living room on each end of the sofa. I ordered some glass table lamps too and they compliment the floor lamps nicely. The lamps are very heavy, so will not tip over. The glass ball reflects light beautifully and is so elegant. Very pleased with my purchase. Exceptional quality, especially for the reasonable price. Have not seen any lamps I like better. Even my husband is impressed! Thank you Overstock!

I ordered this lamp to place it next to a sofa to provide reading light.It not only fulfills that need, it is also very attractive and sturdy. The height is perfect and the lovely shade flares out to expand the light.

I love this lamp! When it first arrived, I found that the middle part was little damaged, but they exchanged it quickly. It was an easy process. This is a beautiful, classic lamp, the quality is great, as its price. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

This lamp is a great knock off of one sold by an upscale home store for about 1/4th the price!
Easy to assemble, the base is very heavy so it won't tip over and it looks really nice.
The color however is a little more on the gunmetal side than deep bronze.

This is a very nice and sturdy lamp. It is heavier than it looks, but then again, the heavy base keeps it from being knocked over by whatever is flying by it at the moment. Took about 2 minutes to put together and was Very easy to do. Great price, lesser quality lamps were much more expensive at the stores. When I finally move into a larger home, I will more than likely come back and order more ... if they're still here.

As a first time buyer I wasn't sure what to expect. The lamp was packaged very well, sent quickly and was easy to assemble. The lamp is heavy in weight so easy tippage is not a problem. I was impressed with the quality and beauty of the lamp. I am sure this will not be my last purchase through Overstock.com.

This lamp was purchased when another I bought and returned didn't work out, I learned my lesson, pay a little more and get a better item. This is a great lamp. Looks very expensive and is beautiful in a contemporary room.

Arrived in good time, easily assembled. Just like the other reviews said, it has a solid heavy base, is a gun-metal color. Nice lampshade and has a 3 way light, so I can adjust it full light, medium or low light. I especially like the real glass ball, it gives it unique character. Excellent product for the price, it looks like a more expensive lamp. Thanks!

this lamp has a heavy base and looks sturdy. the copper color accents the glass ball near the top. the shade is white and goes well with the lamp. the lamp is easy to assemble and all the pieces were sent. the lamp gives good lighting to the room. i would recommend.
