This is a pretty and sturdy lamp. We bought one for each side of a king sized bed with a large headboard and they are great. Because the lamp calls for a 3-way bulb, they go up to 150 watts and therefore make great reading lamps. Nearly all of the lamps in my home are period antique lamps. My husband liked this lamp, but I was worried about how it would fit in the house with what is almost exclusively period furniture. It looks fine, and could fit in with a wide range of decors. The base is very solid, and would be unlikely to tip over even if it were seriously jostled. A very good bargain for a pretty and highly functional lamp.

Arrived in good time, easily assembled. Just like the other reviews said, it has a solid heavy base, is a gun-metal color. Nice lampshade and has a 3 way light, so I can adjust it full light, medium or low light. I especially like the real glass ball, it gives it unique character. These are beautiful lamps. The base is VERY heavy and seems like it will hold the lamps steady. The shades are ok, nothing special but considering most lamps don't even come with shades anymore, you can't beat it. My only negative about the lamps is that they ARE NOT dark bronze, they are GUNMETAL GREY. They are MUCH darker than they appear on the website, but luckily for me they still match my room.

This lamp is a attractive addition to our family room. It is heavy and not easy to tip over. The color is a dark gun metal grayish that is basically neutral and blends in with our brass on other lamps and piano. Assembling it required a bit of adjustment to make it align straight; it took 5 extra minutes. It closely resembles a much more expensive version and is indistinguishable. What a find!

My daughter loved this floor lamp. It looks just like the picture. The "ball" makes it stand out.

I ordered this lamp because it was supposed to be (per the description) the exact match of the lamps that my parents had in their spare bedroom. Unfortunately, not only was this lamp NOT the same color as advertised, it did not stand straight up: the base does not sit level to the rod and there is a definite tilt to the lamp. I am sad to had to have written this off as a loss, which is a shame because this is in theory, a beautiful lamp.

I loved the picture but when I got it and put the shade on, it was completely off balance in size. Wasn't a bad lamp but it would have driven me batty and desperate to find another shade. Returned it without any hassels. Thanks OS.

Beautiful lamp!! Was looking for a lamp to match my two table lamps that were antique bronze with glass ball accents. Everywhere i looked, comparable lamps were selling for hundreds of dollars!! When i found this lamp and saw the price, i figured i'd give it a try even though others had issues with the color. When i got it in the mail, i was pleasantly surprised! The lamp came undamaged. It is high quality with a sturdy and unique design. The color description is dark bronze and that is what it was. If you look closely, you can see the bronze but it has a very dark finish which is what explains the comparison to gunmetal from afar. Regardless, this lamp would match any decor and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. You cannot beat the price anywhere!!!!! With free shipping and a coupon, i got this steal for $53!!! Even without the coupon, i would still order it. The lamp is definitely worth the money! You will not find a better lamp in that price range anywhere (believe me, i've done my research) Absolutely love the lamp1!!

This is a nice lamp, and very weighty, which I guess is why it's slightly overpriced for the lamp itself. It does not look significantly more expensive than a floor lamp one would buy at a big box store for less, but weighs much more than one. As in other reviews, the color is gun-metal grey, not really a color your hardware in your decor would be, if you're into matching metals.

I was looking for a lamp that would be sturdier than a flat rounded base. I chose this one since this has a square claw-footed base to stand on carpet better. It couldn't have been easier to put together. Each piece was already linked by the electrical cord making assembly a simple matter of screwing the sections together. The feet are covered with a plastic piece to keep the metal claws from cutting through the carpet fibers. It is very sturdy. My only dismay was to discover the product is made in China.

I needed a new chair side lamp. I wanted a three way switch as I use the lamp for both reading and accent. I searched for one I liked and found this one. The style and price both appealed to me.
