no assembly! like that. looks good on the page, much better in person. I'm using it as a telephone table in my living room. perfect!
It fits the space I had in mind and gives me a little more storage space. Pros: nice color - a little darker than the picture, a warm golden brown and the carvings are nice; no assembly; dimensions accurate. Cons: not as substantial as I expected - I unpacked it on the front porch and carried up a flight of stairs with drawers intact, no effort (but it is small); drawers don't have gliders or stops; interior of drawers kind of rough - I'll have to line them or they will snag delicate fabrics; glass fronts reveal your (my) messy contents; carvings on top are a nice touch but there isn't much room for objects - there's enough space for a vase and a candle or a picture, that's about it. Not entirely sure it was worth the money but it suits my space just fine.
Well made, Real wood, nicely carved. I have it in my victorian kitchen for extra drawer space. I keep bread, rice, towels and what-not. No assembly, very decorative. I'm happy with it.
This cabinet is well designed, fits in smaller spaces, and holds quite a bit. The drawers fit well and pull easily. The major shortcoming is in the finish. The stain is thin and somewhat fragile and, for example, doesn't go deep (far) enough around some of the corners and crevices, so you might see natural (unfinished) wood here and there. A furniture stain/oil may be the cure for this. The glass fronts on the drawers are a nice touch, as is the carving and design on the top. Overall, it's a very good value and I'm happy with it.
It looks pretty good; rather smaller than I expected though. I think I will use it as a jewelry chest rather than a lingerie chest.
The piece is a beautiful piece ! To bad the workmanship on the drawers are so cheaply put together !!!!!
Product arrived looking as advertised, however, all four drawers were just sitting inside the shell, the struts or glides which the drawers are supposed to rest on and slide on having been broken off either in transit or before. The actual workmanship of the piece itself looks good, although the cheap thin nails used to secure the glides were not enough, nor did the glue hold. The expression "for want of a horseshoe nail the battle was lost" comes to mind.
The cabinet arrived well padded adn boxed. It is very beautiful and I haev received many favorible comments about it. It did arrive with a 3 inch scratch in the wood on the side. But is is not to noticible. The detail to the cabinet is nice. I thought it was a bit costly for the size of the cabinet. It was smaller than I originally thought. But all in all it is worth it. Nothing to assemble.
