Glass tea kettle

kkb5101 Oct 23, 2009

I like the look of this tea kettle. It always looks new, I had always had the metal kettles that would get dark spots and look dirty. I like having the whistle to alert you when the water is boiling. Overall very pleased with this product.

Love this tea kettle!

ccmn72 Oct 8, 2009

We had a stylish teakettle with an annoying whistle like a foghorn. The top also shot off at times while the water boiled. Then we were left with no teakettle, and I'd boil water in a pot. I ruined several saucepans after forgetting about the water. This teakettle solved that problem! This teakettle is a fun design. It whistles, which was important, but the whistle is not piercing. The handle stays cool while you pour the water (unlike previous teakettles I've had). Overall, I am very pleased with this teakettle.

Glass cracked in 1 week

donwoods from Austin,TX, Sep 30, 2009

I was hoping that the glass won't break. But within 1 week of buying this kettle, it cracked near the neck. I think it is super low quality. Do not buy this item.

Great kettle

migomezh from Ashburn, VA, Sep 19, 2009

I love this kettle. I used to have one and when I moved from my homeountry to the US my dad's wife took it and loves it. I have bought one for my grandmother, a friend and replaced mine. It's beautiful, easy to clean and perfect for fresh herb and fruit tea.

Hot!

dinahkap from Stonington, Maine, Sep 14, 2009

Not user friendly! If you don't read the WARNING on the lid telling you to remove the lid before starting to pour (and most people don't read the thing - its brown on brown) you start pouring and the lid falls off into your antique teapot or your carefully compounded sauce. Yikes! Not only that, but on my gas stove the pot handle gets way too hot to touch without a potholder.
