Ginger Bamboo Roman Shade (46 in. x 74 in.)

This shade was perfect for my kitchen window which gets too much early morning sun. Filters the light without totally darkening the room. My window did not need the full length, but this was not a problem. It folds easily and is perfect for the spot.

I bought 4 of these shades for kids' play room 3 years ago. As others have stated they don't offer privacy, but I think it is unfair to list an item as poor for not providing privacy when it is advertised as "filtering". It does just that -- it filters the light. If does a great job of cutting down on the heat from the bright Texas sunshine in that room while still keeping it light enough for the kids to play (unless they want to see the glow of their light sabers). They have withstood children who mess with them even though they aren't supposed to pull the cords. I thought the bamboo would be broken in places by now with kids yanking on the cords but it is tougher than I expected. The only damage has been to a small section of the decorative thread (thanks visiting kid). I tied the pull strings together so that they cannot be pulled up only on one side like kids tend to do and that has worked great. I also cut the cords shorter, as they were extremely long, which also helps keep little ones from danger.

The shade is not as tightly woven as it appears in the photo. They are completely see-through and the quality is just okay. I mounted two side by side in a large window and they don't pleat in the same place so they'll never look uniform. That being said, they were easy to install and not worth the hassle of returning, so will live with them for a while.
