This purchase of two of these shades was my 4th or 5th order. I have installed more than 14 of these in my house and they look amazing every time. They really add a nice design aspect to a room. They do have a musty odor for a few days, but that eventually goes away. They are not opaque, but I think the description indicates that. Given that they come in a variety of sizes, it makes it very easy to find the right size at a very reasonable price. I have even had to modify two shades to fit an unusual window size. A pair of scissors and a hacksaw did the job very easily. Overall, a very good deal and I will be purchasing more for the rest of my rooms.

We ordered these shades for every window in our house (19 in all). If you are worried about privacy, get a liner or find something different. We love the natural light and the way they make our rooms look. We have curtains in the master bedroom where needed and a pull down liner shade that is hidden by the valance at the top of the shades. Great Value, Great product!!!!

The color is correct, but these are cheaper looking than most bamboo blinds I've found. I had to purchase these because I needed this particular size, which I could not find in stores. They allow a lot of light in, which is a negative. On the plus side, they were easy to install.

Read other reviews which helped, The blinds will dim the sun coming in but not totaly block it, this is what we wanted and these blinds fill the ticket. They are easy to install and work well. Good buy if you need dimming not dark.

We bought these blinds for our Den which has 15 windows, and wanted some privacy. They look really nice, and were what we were looking for. At night, you can't see through them when you are standing inside looking out - BUT - when you are outside, you can see directly into our den when the lights ans TV are on, which defeats the purpose of them altogether. I guess we will have to buy some curtains to use in front of them to give us the privacy we were seeking.

Exactly what I was looking for to avoid standard blinds. And Overstock has "odd" sizes - our windows aren't what you'll find stocked in stores. Easy install, and they look great. Don't provide total privacy, but drapes in front can provide that. Warm, natural feel and great look!

I am very happy with his purchase. I bought 3, 34"x74" shades and 1, 64"x74" shade. they arrived fairly quickly, they were easy to hang up and look great. One thing I didn't anticipate was the fact that they are not light blocking shades, quite a bit filters through. One other thing, is they came with these extra little pieces of the shade, (1 3/4" x 8 1/2") . I wasn't sure what they were for. I used them to drape over either end of the shade valance to cover the hardware. Minor details aside, they really are lovely and work well.
