Ginger Bamboo Roman Shade (24 in. x 54 in.)

I purchased this shade to use in a small half-bath that has natural bead board wainscoting. It complements the wood and gives the bath a new modern look.

I bought one of these shades for over my door to our deck, as a replacement to the ugly cream colored metal blinds that were hanging there. First- the color is a lot different than what I can see on my monitor- I'd assume that with the "ginger" in the title they would have a little bit of a reddish/orange tint which they do not. They're definitely darker than the picture and have a cooler undertone to them. I hung these as an outside mount shade, and from the side, you can see the wood/metal hardware on the sides- they send 2 strips of bamboo pieces with the shade- I'm thinking this might be to cover that up?? The instructions did not say anything about these strips- and the hanging instructions in general were fairly vague. Despite these 2 small issues, the shade looks great, was priced very well, and fairly easy to install despite the instructions. I also think it blocks out a good bit of light/adds some privacy- though not as much as metal blinds do. But it looks SO much better!!

These shades were just what I was looking for for my 2 door entry from the side of the house and the carport. The doors face each other and both have glass in the top 1/2, providing NO privacy! The blinds arrived promptly, fit the windows perfectly, were very easy to install, look great, and accomplish my goals - minimal expense, attractive, and provide privacy yet allow light through. I would recommend them to anyone looking for attractive, functional shades at a bargain price!

These are quality looking shades---switching out your shades is a subtle but wonderful thing. In New York City, where I live, it's one of the best ways to 'upgrade' even the oldest apartments. I chose this color because it's warm and it echoes my (previously ugly) kitchen cabinets. Since my large studio apartment is now tied together with these shades, a sisal rug, and bedding that is white with touches of yellow and warm brown, everything goes together perfectly. One thing--the shades are perfectly opaque. I like that because they let a little light through during the day--but sometimes I do wonder if people outside can see more of my apartment than I'd like. I would recommend these for living room windows, or windows where you have drapes you can pull closed at the end of the night.
