It is a very nice chair. A bit more plum or purple than in the picture, but for me that was a good thing. It assembles pretty easily, but one of the places for one of the screws was stripped so I couldn't attach the 4th leg. I hate returns so that is pretty annoying, but I may get another and hopefully it will work.

The chairs are a beautiful rich eggplant color...adds a nice touch of color to any room. The pictures don't do it justice. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not experience any difficulty in putting the chairs together. As far as this style chair goes, this is actually a pretty comfy chair. The BAD NEWS Unfortunately, I don't believe that the chairs are real leather. High quality imitation but NOT leather---if you don't mind the false advertisement of real leather then this is still a beautiful chair. Beauty and style is 5 stars but the false advertising earns it a 3. My only regret is not buying it a few months ago when the price was lower, it would have been easier to tolerate the imitation leather.

This was my first time ordering from Overstock. I ordered one to start, to make sure I would be happy with the quality and was extremely pleased. The chair arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. One of my concerns was seeing the color in person. I was hoping it was not going to be an obnoxious, cheezy purple. The color is beautiful and understated. It looks elegant in my livingroom without being boring. I was so happy, I ordered a second one, and had the same great result!

Please note this chair is short and only reaches the height of the chair rail. It is pretty and the color is exactly what I wanted and expected. However this is cheaply made. The bolts are loose and we can't get them tighter without breaking the wood. However I bought this not to sit on. It is for decoration only and to lay my decorative bed pillows on each night. So I am satisfied with it as I would be with a small side table In the corner of the room Would not recommend for heavy use or even occasional use for sitting-- just decorative purposes

I saw the the Garland Eggplant leather chair and thought it was stylish, and the price lower than any furniture store would be. I trusted the reviews of others on this product, and had high hopes that the chairs (I got two) would be as nice as they said. As it turned out they were even better then I had expected! Great quality, super easy to assemble, and so sturdy! I have bought assemble-it yourself furniture in the past, and maybe it is just me, but it can be a bit wobbly. These are as sturdy as any I've seen pre-assembled. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in stores for twice the price. Great buy!

I just love this chair, even though it came with a cracked leg and one of the bolts was stripped. I would have sent it back, but ended up fixing it because it's just so handsome.

This is a beautiful chair. It is a really deep purple that most people think it is black, so the color is subtle but not overwhelming. I is a great piece especially for the price. Assembly was not that hard.

I looked at a lot of chairs and read a lot of reviews, wound up ordering two of these at the same time since the reviews have been good. They are very nice, a subtle eggplant color, I have them with my earthy red couch and sage walls and it's a great look. The eggplant is way more interesting than brown or black would have been and yet still feels like a neutral. They came undamaged and my husband put them together in just over half an hour including getting them out of the boxes, I just steadied the pieces while he put them together, it helps to have that 2nd person. He said he could have done it in 15 minutes if he'd thought to get his socket wrench or drill out earlier, just FYI. Great chair, as described for a great price. Already ordered an overstock rug to bring it all together!

This chair looks great in my home and took very little time to assemble. One person can easily do it, and all the tools are provided. I'd recommend this chair to anyone who likes a contemporary look. The color is a very rich, deep eggplant, and looks great with my lime green accents.

The chair is well made, and easy to assemble. It is rather large, my bf is 6'2" and he can sit in it properly with his feet touching the ground. I am 5'2" and I usually sit in it crossed legged, as my feet don't touch the ground. I use it often, and it would be great if it were a bit softer but it is definitely my preferred place to sit. Great color, great price. I'm satisfied with it.

This chair was better than expected. The leather is thick and the construction is solid. The finish detail is very good. When assembled, the chair was very sturdy and looks great in the room. The angle of the back makes you relax, so don't expect to sit upright. The wrench that came with the chair worked, but it was easier to assemble with a socket set wrench. Straightforward assembly.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the stucture of this chair. The ease of assembly was an added plus. It will match the furniture I currently have and we are very happy with it.

I ordered two of these chairs wondering if I would really like the color (not having much confidence in the photo accuracy). The chairs arrived in one week and unpackaging and assembling the chairs by myself took about 15 minutes with no problems (tools were included). The chairs look great, the color rendition in the photo is quite good (at least on my screen) and the chairs are very comfortable. Because they are armless chairs, they provide excellent placement flexibility and feel a bit smaller in the room. They are by no means small, they will easily accomodate a larger person (and definately feel steady enough to do so), but without the arms, just give a lighter sense of space in the room. I really like these chairs and have received many positive comments on them. I can strongly recommend them if you feel this color will work for you. While the photo is accurate, the color is by no means bright or overpowering (perhaps due to the armless design). They will fit well in many room's color schemes without drawing too much attention to their color.
