This little lamp is very pretty and also well made.It didn't come with any instructions on how to put it together,but then it really wasn't nessasary,seeing as how simple it was to get up and working.The price was also a plus.I've seen this same lamp elsewhere selling for hundreds more,so I thought this was a good deal. On the minus side is Overstocks description of the bulbs and their wattage.No,it doesn't take 3 or 4 100 watt bulbs,it only takes two candleabra bulbs of no higher than 40 watts,one goes in the base and the other for the shade.If you're looking for a lamp to really light up your room,this isn't the one for you. The last minor minus is that the base only lights up with the lamp shade on at the same time(I would like a night light all by itself). For me though,it's a keeper.
