  I am pleased with the quality of this frame. It wasn't too difficult to put together. Problem: the seating is too narrow for the futon to fit balanced upper & lower halves and therefore takes away from a more attractive appearance. The positive is, it has guards to hold the futon in place instead of it sliding off.

  The overall quality is better than most futons in my experience. It will provide adequate comfort but for us it needs a memory foam topper. My main concern: it never opened fully to a 10" thickness and that is the most important feature I was seeking. Upon receipt, I left it open for 48 hours as directed but it never filled out. Ruler: measures 8" (rounded, not straight) and for this I am greatly disappointed.

  A friend gave us a nice wood futon frame for our beach house so we brought the metal frame home for the screen room. I purchased the mattress for home and it has worked out wonderfully! Not only is it comfortable to sleep on, it is very comfortable to sit on. I love to use it for my meditations.

  After placing a 2 inch memory foam mattress topper and futon cover on this mattress, it is quite comfortable. Just added to the overall cost a bit too much. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but of I purchased a futon again, I would purchase the frame separately and read up on finding the best mattress deal out there. Buying this combo package did not offer any savings anyway. Overall it is a decent piece of furniture at a lower price than you find in stores.

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Frame is solid once put together, will likely get some good use out of it, looks good too. The mattress is unconfortable, can feel springs, not near the padding advertised, 7 inches max.

  Best move ever. Keeping it simple at its very best. We paired this no nonsense mattress with a feather bed and it is heaven. We get the "no pressure points" benefit of the feather bed while retaining the firm support of this cotton mattress. We both look forward to sinking into our bed after a long day. So far, so good. No need for foam, latex, coil, or gel.
