Very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. I got the 10 in mattress. Easy to put up and down. Assembly went fairly well but did need help getting the bracket in the connects the front to the back. The two pins that hold that bracket in place were very difficult to get in and in the end I was unable to get one through the hole completely. But overall I am happy with futon. It looks nice in my den and will be great for the occasional guest.

Our old futon was flat and hard, circumstances forced us to get a new one and we wonder why we waited so long. This one is wonderful, very thick and cushy. We mostly use it in the sofa position, occasionally as a bed. We use Velcro to fasten it in place so it doesn't slide down. This trick works great, just stick Velcro strips on the frame and pin the mate to the futon and it stays put.

Product was separated during transit. Engaged in online customer service and they easily helped determine root cause and recover the missing package. The product was not made up a great tolerances so the assembly required banging and resulted in one broken pin. All in all, good experience and what we paid for.

Was very easy to put together...However the hardware managed to get out of bag, and fell loose into the carton. I managed to find everything except a cotter pin, but after assembly I didn't need it. There were many other pieces of hardware leftover(hope I don't need it). Apparently they send all the hardware for all the models. It's pretty sturdy and comfortable.

I will start with the positives. I like the look and feel of this couch and the delivery was fast! It is also has a very comfortable mattress. The futon looks almost as pictured. And now the negatives...The color was right on, but the buttons look very cheap in person. The futon came in three HEAVY boxes that was delivered to the mail room of my apartment building. So i had to lug 50-70 lbs for EACH Box to my third floor apartment! Then when I opened the boxes there were literally 1000 screws, pins and wood pieces! I'm not sure how people put this together by themselves. My friend happened to be in town so she helped me and it still took us about 3+ hours to put it together. But that's not the worst part... the worst part is that after following the directions step-by-step and 3+ grueling hours of assembling the frame.... the futon does NOT easily convert from bed to couch. It easily goes down to bed easily, but getting it back up to couch position is nearly impossible. I thought I did something wrong so I took off the mattress and had my other friend review all of the work we did and everything looked good to him, but it wont convert! I don't get it! I say, put your money towards something else!

Let's start with the positives - for the price this is a very solid, well-made, HEAVY piece of furniture. Did I say heavy? It's heavy! Everything from the frame, the wood, the mattress are all of good to high quality. The futon is comfy and soft yet you feel the support that's there without feeling the frame underneath you. The mattress is nice and thick. Haven't slept on it as a bed yet. The wood frame is solid, came without any scratches or defects, nice finish. The frame is solid, solid, SOLID. It's a very attractive piece of furniture and adds a nice, cozy feel to the reading/guest room we got it for. Negatives - some parts for assembling the frame did not fit into each other easily at all. The struts for the front and back had to be hammered to couple in. The "U hook" attaching the front to the back of the frame would NOT go into the openings so we hammered and oiled and hammered some more to get it in as best as we could. No cotter pin came in the bag of parts but we couldn't have used it anyway as we couldn't get the hook in as far as it should have gone to secure the 2 parts of the frame together. The instructions are TERRIBLE!!!! Awful, unclear, incomplete. The drawings are almost as useless. We eventually figured it out after 3 nights of trying. The drawers that go underneath the futon do not fit into tracks of any kind. They just roll in and out on wheels (one came damaged) and you have to line them up as you slide them in and out and they bump into each other and the sides of the frame unless yo line them up just right. The micro fibre cover the mattress comes with is a bit thin and although it has a zipper, there's no other liner for the inner stuffing so it didn't look like something I wanted to remove to wash. We had the extra expense of buying a separate micro fibre cover which was made of a much heavier fabric and could be zipped on off for washing. There is a funny chemical-like smell in the mattress that has taken a few weeks of leaving windows open (during winter) to air it out a bit. Seems like that smell will be there for awhile.

This is one of those products assembled in a mill with NO quality assurance. The metal used is possibly the lowest grade I have ever seen on similar products. When attempting to fold out the seat and back to secure them (yes they come hinged together) the metal tubing bends if you are not extremely careful. After some painstaking efforts to insert the tubes without bending them I then notice that the base T bar supports are made of some real cheap metal also and these rough edged pieces of metal are supposed to screw into the wooden side arms. It works, but I will have to guess how long it is before they bend or scratch the wood. Then I encounter this Hook that is supposed to slip into the loops and you use a pin to secure it. That would be great if it would "Slip" into the holes but it dos not and you have to attempt to knock it in. That didn't work either. So now I am debating on whether I go to the local hardware store and make my own hook that fits or return the product to them. Not to mention that the assembly manual is written extremely poorly. The art work they include is in no way correct and the "English" they use to explain the assembly process is nearing on 2nd grade descriptions of a scientific project. If you appreciate spending money for frustration, this is the product for you.

Perfect couch for son in his basement lounge, he is 12. It wipes off easily and is low sitting, perfect for the lounge/gamer room he has going on. The bottom where the back would sit one is made of a thin black lining (like the kind you would see under a boxspring) and he stepped through that the 1st day when he climbed over the top to get onto it instead of going around like a normal person. I stapled a heaver weight fabric on there (just like the other fabric is attached) and it seems to be holding up to even him. The seat back held up to him and his friends wrestling on it and hasn't broken, so that in itself should say it all. It is very comfortable to sleep on as well, something I have experienced 1st hand. The cats dug thier claws into the vinyl seat the 1st day I got it and left little pin holds but they are barely noticeable because the underlying fabric is off white all the way through. So in short, if this little sofa/futon can stand up to my family, it would be wonderful for anyone elses.

Nice frame...durable and sturdy...the directions to assemble are horrible. I have so many extra parts and have no idea where they should go. Cotter Pins missing although I have no clue where they would go as the directions are not clear.

The sofa bed fits our spare bedroom well. I tried lying down on it for about ten minutes when we first set it up as a bed, and it was fine. As a sofa, it is comfortable, as well. I would have rated it excellent had it not for the broken long zipper of one of the mattress cases. We were disappointed at first, but since it was hidden, we just used lots of safety pins to close the mattress case, instead of sending it back. And it worked just fine.
