I bought these for my sister as Christmas gift. She recently got married and did not receive any knives as a gift and has been doing more entertaining in her new home, so they were a needed gift. This collection is very nice looking and the knives appear to be very sturdy, they are easy to sharpen and hold a nice edge. The carving knife did a wonderful job on the turkey. I would recommend these knives to anyone who wants a very nice set of knives and cannot afford the very expensive ones. If you do a little research on this brand you will see that there are lots of reviews from chefs who say they are a very good knife.

These knives cut well and have really good balance/weight. Be sure to wash and dry them by hand after use.

I have had these for about a month now. I just replaced a set of Chicago Cutlery that I have had for 15 years. I love the weight of these knives. The handles have a nice feel to them and the blades are sharp. The price was right. They were already 15 dollars less than the big box stores and I had a 20 percent off coupon so that was a bonus. I would have paid full price. There is a nice selection of knives and the steakknives are also great. If you thinking about these knives. Just do it. You won't be sorry.

I love these knifes! I looked for hours trying to find the perfect set for my kitchen and let me tell you I certainly found it in this set! I love the way they used the stainless with the black. The knifes are very sharp so I am pleased with everything. I wash by hand and not in dishwasher to keep them looking new. Thanks again Overstock...you helped me once again!

I have not yet used all the specialty knives, but am very pleased with the results of the knives and already have my favorites. They feel nice in the hand, too. The steak knives are quite sharp, which is helpful for my husband who has decreased use of his right hand.

I bought these, lived with them and reviewed them approximately a year ago. Did not get a good review from me and that review somehow got edited out. The block is not well made and it's difficult getting the steak knives in and out. All the knives are showing rust even when I hand wash them and dry them immediatly. Knives can't keep a sharp blade. Have to sharpen at least every other time using them and not using the worthless knife sharpener included in the set. Overall, pretty dissatisfied which is unusual for my Overstock purchases.

I purchased this knife set as a 2009 Christmas gift for myself. I could not have been more pleased with my present. The knife set arrived in about 4 days of ordering. The knives are really beautiful and quite functional. They matched my kitchen decor very nicely. They function even better. Each one is heavier than I expected and slices everything perfectly. I throw them into the dish washer all the time without any problems. It has been about six months since my purchase and the knives still look new without a single blemish. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Well after searching and searching, reading review and reading reviews I decided on this set. I ordered them from Amazon.com at first and then found them cheaper $129.95 shipped at www.cutleryandmore.com so I canceled and ordered from them. Received the set and right away I knew I was going to love these knifes. Well balanced, well weighted, and feel great in hand. I was a little worried that the poly grip handles were going to be squishy but they are not at all. Just a very slight give and feels soft to the touch. I actually really like the poly grip handles. The stake knife are one solid piece which is nice yet they handles are a little thin but still work great. The blades are nice and strong and sharp right out of the box. Spend a few seconds on each one with the included sharpening Steel and they just get shaper. There is only ONE thing that is somewhat bothering to me and most would laugh about this but when you place all the knifes in the storage block they don?t line up perfect like the picture shows. After trying to rearrange the knifes you just can?t get them to line up. This has nothing to do with the quality of the knifes and with me being extremely hard to please. This only bothered me for 5 minutes and I decided this set is WAY to nice especially for the price to let this bother me. They kind of make a rainbow shape when placed in the storage block so it looks ok. Like I said I am hard to please when it comes to quality of a product and this set pleases me. I have looked at many sets before purchasing this set and for $129.95 I truly believe you will NOT find a better set. Maybe even for more money. I highly recommend you give them a try.

This is a Christmas present so the knives have not been well-used. However, I opened the box, looked at the knives, tested a few and they appear to be of high quality and good value. I own a set of Chicago Cutlery and have been very pleased with my knives.

Had check other offerings in stores. This product has the valve, looks that I could not find in stores for this pricing.

I bought this set over a year ago and I use it everyday. I highly recommend this set. It has worked so well with all my needs. And it looks great! My wife couldn't believe how nice the set was and certainly for the price. well worth the money.

These are nice knives, they are good quality and they are well balanced. I am pleased with them.
