THIS IS AN UPDATE FOR MY PREVIOUS REVIEW (the only other one here) since Overstock does not allow for updated/editing in previous reviews I had to create a whole NEW account in order to change my opinion! I am DEEPLY disappointed in the quality control and the customer response I've gotten from Overstock regarding this purchase. THIS COUCH IS NOT ECOFRIENDLY as advertised, nowhere is there to be found any soy-based or down-fill. The entire thing is still outgassing after 3 months so I took the covers off only to reveal NONE of the materials I had purchased this for in the cushions, then found a label stating the following: "BODY: POLYESTER FIBER BATTING... 91% TEXTILE FIBER PAD... 8% POLYURETHANE FOAM PAD... 1% BACK CUSHIONS: POLYESTER FIBER... 100% SEAT CUSHIONS: POLYURITHANE FOAM PAD... 82% RESINATED POLYESTER FIBER BATTING... 18%" I bought this product solely based on its description and it is soooo very important to find an "ecofriendly product" since my husband's Integrative Oncologist recommended we replace the materials he sleeps on with natural ones. What we bought was a respiratory nightmare. Not only that, but this couch is already starting to wear! It is already feeling saggy - I am not kidding and we are small people! Overstock needs to do better QC on products BEFORE posting fraudulent descriptions. Makes me question ALL products now...

It was difficult to tell from the picture, but the fabric is actually is a pattern that has a subtle black, brown, and grey weave in between the "bronze" chenille. I actually like it much better than the picture and don't think the picture does it justice. For me, it really matches my theme more than I imagined it could, but it may be different for you. Know that the "bronze" really does look bronze from an overall perspective, likely because of the weaved in multicolors, but, up-close, the couch is brown. The picture has a green hue to it, which it does not have at all. It is very brown and if you have those other colors in your decor, it will bring them out. I like that the "chaise" is reversible to either side ~ it was a little confusing... I thought that it was an "ottoman" but know that it is one long chaise cushion that can be flipped to use on either end (L or R) and the "ottoman" that supports it is movable. The only negative that I would point out is that the two couches do not connect and slide apart, so you need to place anti-skid things under the legs to keep it from moving. Even then, there is always a space between the two that a back cushion does cover so that it can't be seen (is not noticeable even when sitting) at least in my room where the two couches meet are against a wall. If you have it angled a different way and plan to have that part of the couch facing inside a room where you can view the back of it, you may want to rethink this or keep a blanket over that area. I am not sure that it is totally eco-friendly either as it did have an outgas smell that was pretty strong. But, I like the down-filled back cushions are supportive and not squishy. Overall, couch is pleasing and comfortable ~ very firm, but in a good, solid way.
