I bought this futon on a limited student's budget and with the help of more overstock discounts I received in the mail, I was able to afford it.It's beautiful. This futon is super comfortable, and very sturdy. You can't see the metal frame with the mattress on it, and the wood arms look very elegant. I love how there are compartments under the arm rests for remote controls and space for books/magazines on the sides of the arms. It looks really beautiful and is not that heavy to move around.There are only a few slight downsides -- It took about 3 hours to assemble it and definitely requires 2 people. The instructions say it only takes 4 steps but each steps have about 16 steps within it. This is the first futon I've assembled so maybe that's standard. From the picture I had imagined that when you sit in the futon it's like sitting on a sofa (almost 90 degrees) but instead the seat slopes down like most futons. It makes it comfortable to sit on for sure but also makes it hard to look at the person sitting next to you without craning your neck.I bought an 8 inch mattress from overstock to make sure I would feel any bar in my back - so far so good. There is a slight smell from the mattress disappears after a week or so.Overall, excellent quality for the price. I highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful chair, with some really nice features. Best quality I've seen in along time. No damage at all to product during shipping. Price is well worth it.

I received my futon frame sooner than expected and love it. I have no complaints about this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a spare bed. It's very well built and was fairly easy to put together. The magazine rack wood arms are also very useful.

This futon has really nice wood arms , I can use it as magazine rack or use the opening on top for cup holder. I like it a lot, going to get a second one for my quest room. recommended!!

I slept on this futon everyday for quite a while (about a year maybe). It was okay at first, but it wasn't long before the metal pieces began to snap and come apart. The futon has a nice appearance, but it just doesn't hold up to regular use.

We have been very pleased with this futon frame. It was easy to put together (about an hour), is sturdy and looks attractive. And we love the little compartments in the side arms - great to put your glasses in while you're sleeping! The only problem we had was on one side, the screws in the hinge to the side arm lid were stripped. We easily fixed it with some wood filler though - so all is good. I would definitely recommend this product.

Excellent product for the price! Fairly easy to assemble. The wood is a nice color and has a high quality look. Very sturdy metal frame. Easy to change between bed and seating.

After so many good reviews, I was confident this would be a good piece of furniture. It does look good and was fairly easy to put together. However, when I had to move less than 9 months after I bought it, I needed to take it apart to get it out. I only opened and closed it 4 or 5 times in that period and somehow that minimal use broke a weld on either side of the frame. I'm not a big person, there was not excessive weight or anything placed on the frame, it just busted. I'm very, very disappointed and can't possibly recommend this. I wish I'd gotten a different one.

This is my first futon so I don't have anything to compare it to. It came in two boxes. I was so glad that the delivery guy actually got both boxes up to my 3rd floor apartment so I didn't have to do any heavy lifting. The assembly process takes a while because the instruction is a bit simplified. All the hardware feels very solid and sturdy. My package is missing 8 nuts so we had to buy them from a local home depot to finish assembly. The color matches what's shown on the picture. The storage space underneath the armrest could take a little use to because I always felt I broke something as I unintentionally pressed on the edge and the lip popped open.

The bed arrived earlier than anticipated. Previous reviews were right about the shrink-wrap. They could use that stuff to protect the space shuttle. Assembly was easy because I made my son do it. It took him about an hour with minimal cursing. I purchased the 8 inch mattress and it arrived first. Take note: The thing is very comfy, but firm. The color is good and the fabric has a lovely feel to it. Great price, good value. Oh, yoga mats are a great solution to slippage problems.

It took me no time to assemble. If I can do this, anybody could. Solid wood, nice and sturdy. Definitely brightens up my room in the day and add extra comfort at night. Go ahead and buy this one now!

first time customer. chose based on other customer reviews. not sorry. happy I ordered the 10" futon mattress and the metal frame w/the wooden arms. Love the storage feature in the arms. directions for the assembly were excellent and the delivery was swift. Looking forward to ordering lot of other merchandise now from Overstock.

Overall, this futon frame works well. The storage on the sides and in the arms is great! The only concern I have is with the anchors that hold the futon "up" at the bottom. They really don't do that great of a job, they only leave indentations in the futon. I am not sure how they will hold up after a long period of time.

In general, I am pleased with the product enough to give it an overall rating of "good".The hidden storage in the arms is very practical to store remote controls and other useful knickknacks. I added felt pads to the storage lids to cushion the impact of wood on wood, that knocked the workmanship down a couple of notches.The package arrived in good condition but one of the arms had severals nicks in the finish. Nothing that cannot be covered up, however it is annoying having purchased it "new". This lowered the appearance score.
