We bought this mattress to go with a futon frame that our daughter was taking to college. We did not want to spend a lot of money, but we didn't want to waste money on something cheap. This mattress fit our needs and our daughter's needs perfectly. It meets the strict safety fire codes of the dorm - very important! She and her 2 roommates are very happy and comfortable with the mattress.

The mattress has small holes in it upon opening it. I think the price is high for what you get.We will probobably have to get a cover for it.

I purchased this mattress to go with the metal futon frame because I was expecting guests 3 weeks down the road. The mattress came in 5 days. It seemed to be comfortable enough for the 2 children sleeping on it on the floor. (the frame is another story!) The color and the cover construction is good (I ordered toffee). I was a little disappointed with the thickness of the foam core in the mattress. The stuffing is mostly a cottony type of filler that has a nasty odor. I've sprayed it several times with fabreeze and hopefully over time this burlap odor will fade.

Ionly had this futon mattress for a few weeks and it is all ready starting to tear at the seams.NOT HAPPY WITH IT AT ALL!!!It looked good when I first put it up.

I was afraid that the black would look faded - sometimes a new product in the color black is not dark enough, however this cusion is very black...... well made.......love it!

All in all, I am generally satisfied with the mattress. I was expecting it to have more foam and cushion than it does. It seems to predominantly have the cotton batting. It's comfortable, just not as soft as I anticipated. However, it is much better than the old mattress that it replaced! I have it almost exclusively in the sofa position-- it stays in place well and conforms to the fold well. The color- sage- is as it appeared on the web page.

I ordered this for my son. he had a intersping foton matress and did no like it, loves this one. Took day and a half for it to exspand to full size but other than that it has been great!

I replaced the original futon mattress which we've had for over 10 years with the Full 8-inch Quality Futon Mattress,. I thought the old one was worn out. In reality it probably is, but it sill more comfortable (albeit, flat on the floor) than the new one is on the frame. The new one is much softer and doesn't hold it's shape as well. It won't stay put on the frame and keeps sliding forward meaning the seat comes forward and the back moves down. It is lumpy as if the cotton filling isn't distributed evenly. Overall, it has less body and comfort when sitting on than the previous one had when it was new. Although there was nothing to be assembled, I rated "Ease of Assembly" with 4 stars because it was well packaged and easy to remove and open out. I chose Toffee and I like the color even though it will have to be kept covered since we have 3 cats who shed.

I bought this for my daughter to replace the flimsy mattress that came with her futon ~ not purchased at Overstock by the way. We could not believe how thick and plush it was. It only took about 20 minutes to completely spread out after being removed from the box. Although her futon is used as a sofa, she has spent more than a few nights sleeping on it and said it was very comfortable. Another great purchase from Overstock.com. I have not been disappointed in anything I have ordered from here.

I found this same mattress on SEVERAL sites for $100-150.00 more than this one. I love this mattress. We use our futon in an upstairs den, so it's more of a sitting space than for sleeping. The mattress is great. I just wish it came with more choices of covers!!

The mattress is very comfortable and fits the futon frame perfectly. It has a good amount of padding and will provide good sleep. Make sure to notice the mattress is NOT sold with the futon frame. That is sold seperately. Overall a good product worth buying.

When ourchasing the futon mattress, I thought by ordering it in Toffee, that meant it came already covered. That wasn't the case, the cover had to be purchased separately, which really made the price not that great. I gave it to my daugher, she said it wasn't as thick as the one she had before but was comfy. I think they should give a discount on the futon cover if you purchase the mattress.

We received our new futon mattress in record time!! It was vacuum packed for shipping purposes, and we just let it sit in the closet for a couple of days to air out and puff up! It's a beautiful color that I don't want to cover!! If you don't have a couple of days, use it as a punching bag! The cotton and foam will perk up pretty quickly!
