We've had this unit since July 2012 and it's worked well thus far. It's not quiet but not too loud. When it's on, I need to turn up the volume of the TV a few notches, no big deal. It cools a 10x15 area well, We haven't tried the timer settings so can't comment on that. But as most reviewers have noted, we are just happy to find a unit that fits our narrow window. Vertically it barely fit, but it did fit.Read More
We purchased two of these air conditioners to replace the two in our house that had gotten too old. Once we had one installed, we had it running and it cooled down our house (with the help of a couple of fans) in no time. Our house is approximately 1020 sq. ft. With both units running on low, our house is cooled down in no time. We are very happy with the look and the performance of these units.Read More
The product is great. The installation instructions from the manufacture is another story, but it's is excellent and $100.00 cheaper than any other selling site.Read More
everything is fine but after installation I realized that the unit had been "high centered" and when either dropped or stacked and had been bent - the only problem is cosmetic as the case is bent as if set on a pipe in the center and the edges stood on. My first thought when I got the unit is that this was very poor packing - but the unit looked fine - only after installation and seeing the unit at eye level did I see this issue. As I said the unit works fine - and the hassle and expense of return and claims make this a problem I would rather live with - this was shipped quickly, preforms well, and is as described - but the pee poor packaging makes the free shipping too expensive. smilesRead More

FAQs about Window Air Conditioners
Window air conditioners can be a life saver in the summer months. They provide a comfortable escape from the hot outside temperatures. Window air conditioners are especially helpful in reducing heat-related health issues and making sleep more restful.
How to Install Window Air Conditioners
You can beat the heat without sending your air conditioning bills through the roof. One way is to cool an individual room with a window air conditioner, instead of the entire house, and make it a cool retreat. Air conditioners and heaters can be used to control temperature in a single room without adjusting your home's main thermostat. Most window air conditioners are built for single-hung, double-hung and side-sliding windows. So, you'll need to select an air conditioner unit that fits your window type. These steps will help you to install your window air conditioner properly.
Common Questions about Window Air Conditioners
A great way to beat the heat is by installing a window air conditioner in your home or office. Using individual air conditioners and heaters in your home can take the load off of your central heating and air conditioning system, providing you with significant energy savings over the course of a year. Here are some frequently asked questions about window air conditioners and how you can use them in your home.
Air Conditioner Air Filter Fact Sheet
Your air conditioner operates by drawing in air, cooling it and then releasing it into your living area. Whether you use a portable air conditioner or a window unit or you have central air conditioning, your air filters will need to be periodically checked and changed. After a while, airborne dust, debris, pollen and other particles may clog your air filters. A clogged air filter forces air conditioners and heaters to work harder and may result in higher energy costs. Dirty or damaged air filters may also shorten the life of your air conditioner. Here are a few facts about air-conditioner air filters help you get the most out of your air conditioner.
Where to Use a Portable Air Conditioner
You can beat the heat without sending your air conditioning costs through the roof. Just use a portable air conditioner to keep areas of your home cool. Air conditioners work by using either evaporative cooling or refrigerant compressors to cool air. Instead of cooling the entire house, a small, portable air conditioner cools the room you're in at the moment. Even if you have a central air conditioner for your home, you can still benefit from using portable air conditioners.
How Air Conditioners Work
Keeping cool is an essential part of life during the hot summer months, and the right air conditioner will not only make you more comfortable; it can save you money. Knowing how air conditioners work can help you choose the right unit for your abode; size, circulation, power and filters all factor into your decision.
FAQs about Portable Air Conditioners
On a scorching summer day, portable air conditioners can make your room a refuge from the heat. Whether you are short on space, need a little extra cooling in a problem area or just want to keep your personal space at a constant, cool temperature, portable air conditioners are the solution to all your summer woes. Unlike a window air conditioner that needs to be attached to a window or central air conditioners that can sometimes struggle to reach each corner of the house, portable air conditioners can follow you anywhere in the home. Room air conditioners are relatively easy to use, but here are a few common questions to help you use them efficiently.
