Do not be confused by the Overstock description of this microwave. Although it can be used as a countertop microwave, it is Model No. FPMO209KF, which is designed to be a built-in microwave. You can read reviews and specification by researching this model on other websites. This model can be used with Stainless Steel Professional Series Microwave Trim Kit, 30-Inch, Model No. MWTKP30KF, or 27-inch, Model No. MWTKP27KF. The trim kits are sold separately and may have to be purchased elsewhere. I cannot comment on the durability of the microwave yet, but it is a nice-looking built-in. Overstock currently has a better price and seems to be able to ship faster than other retailers I have checked, including local builder specialty stores. I received mine very promptly. I hope this helps.Read More

How to Install a Built-in Microwave
Microwaves are a kitchen staple. They offer convenience, no residual heat from cooking and, when compared with an oven or range, efficiency. With so much going for them, it's no surprise microwaves are so popular. If there was ever a drawback to having a microwave oven in the kitchen, it was that the appliance claimed too much valuable countertop real estate. But ever since microwave ovens were made to be installed over the range, that dilemma has ceased to exist. Installing a built-in microwave is really not that difficult, but what many people don't realize is that they need a dedicated 20-amp circuit installed in the cabinet directly above the microwave oven for the installation to be up to code. If you're not comfortable running your own circuit, hire a qualified electrician for the job. Once you have the circuit installed, you can then install a built-in microwave.
Microwave Buying Guide
Microwaves have become one of the most essential kitchen appliances in a home. Appliances like microwaves are designed to make our lives easier, shorten prep and cook times and make clean up a snap; microwave ovens are a huge timesaver. Microwaves make defrosting foods easy and warming up leftovers temptingly fast. How to Tell If Something Is Microwave Safe
Many bowls and plates are considered microwave safe; however, if you use the wrong dish, you could ruin both the dinnerware and the dinner. Microwaves are convenient appliances, but there are a few precautions you should know about when it comes to your dishes. Always check to see if a dish is microwave safe before using it in the microwave. Some containers can break, melt or scald you. Some containers can also damage your microwave, such as foil-lined containers. Microwave-safe dishes can be used to both cook and store food. Non-microwave safe containers can only be used for storage or serving.

How to Replace a Kitchen Countertop
Replacing a kitchen countertop is an easy home improvement that not only updates the look of a kitchen, but also adds value to the house. Many kitchen countertops come in standard sizes with a pre-cut hole for the sink, which allows you to simply remove the existing countertop and fit the new one before reattaching the sink. Kitchen countertops come in a variety of designs and materials, from the economical laminate to more expensive and durable granite or marble.
Tips on Gas Cooktops
Many kitchens feature gas ranges for cooking that combine both burners and an oven in one unit. Recently, separate gas cooktops have risen in popularity because they fit into a countertop while allowing storage cupboard space underneath. Gas cooktops are especially popular with chefs because they allow more precise control over temperature and cooking time.
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Ceramic. Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic. Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite. Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz. Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. View All Tile Back to Guides Directory View All Tile

A jigsaw is sufficient for cutting a laminate countertop, but if you own a solid-surface countertop, you will use a router to make the cuts. With a little attention to detail and safety, you can cut the hole yourself by following a few simple steps.
