We order this large air conditioner to replace one in our third-floor bedroom. To our surprise it arrived within two days of order and we were very impressed. However, after lugging the unit up two flights of stairs and inserting it into the adjusted wall cavity, we noticed that the plug was nothing like anything we'd ever seen before. And on page 5 of the installation/users manual, it explains why: it is a European model, made for 230 v. connection. I see that some of the smaller models do run on 115 v. circuits, but the large units are incompatible. Overstock has offered us a refund, and we trust their returns policy implicitly, which may make this review unnecessary. But perhaps it is a good idea to check thoroughly on any electronic brand name that you are not familiar with before you order.
