These are the nicest storage and mixing bowls I've ever used. I'm not an experience chef or kitchen person, so take my review with a grain of salt. So far, though, the bowls have been very durable and useful. The vacuum storage capability is wonderful. They're easy to clean and store and don't seem to impart any metallic taste to the food being stored. I like 'em!

I read many reviews on stainless steel covered bowls. I wanted them to be a good quality (not dent, good rims, nice size) with lids so I would not have to use a throw away material. These seemed to fill the bill. They do all except the lids. Sometimes they do not hold the suction to stay closed. They are great for mixing and storing...and the lids hold most of the time. I clean the rims off before placing the lids on them, etc. I would probably get them again just because the quality of bowl is so good. The lids can keep them covered even if the suction doesn't hold. I just know that if this IS important for what is in the bowl, I check it or use foil, etc.

the lids for the bowls do not vac seal as they are supposed to.

Beautiful stainless steel,nesting mixing bowls...not really sure how the seal works, but the food seems to stay fresh...no instructions came telling how to get a vacuum seal, so we just guessed...Very happy so far

these are great bowl and to all those who think the tops are useless - that's why I'm writing. To secure the top here's how: once the lid is on the bowl (make sure the blue vest is open) push the middle of the lid and snap the blue tab closed. To open lid: pull up on blue tab. If necessary practice this before filling bowl and then you'll see how good these bowls are. I'm buying another set. Stainless is a great way to store food!

These bowls are a heavier gauge product than I expected, giving them a substantial feel. The surface finish is excellent. The sealing system for the lids is quite ingenious and works like a charm. The set is so much nicer than the set I've used for the past thirty years and recently gave to our college age son for his apartment kitchen. I suspect the kids can fight over this new set when I buy the farm.

Excellent! I have been looking for some mixing bowls for a while and the great reviews are accurate. They are deep offering splatter free mixing, have markers inside the bowls, and have air tight lids (that actually function). I am very pleased with the quality of my purchase and highly recommend them.

The bowls are a great quality. The lids do not seal as stated in the ad. I would only recommend to a friend for the quality of the bowls ( not the lids) There is no way you can transport food in these bowls without spilling the contents.

These bowls are advertised as vacuum seal but.....I can't get the lids to just seal but..... vacuum seal? That's a joke! Can't happen! They just lay on top of the bowls and a puff of wind would blow them off.. Not as advertised but.... very above average bowls for mixing. The lids can be tossed,. Love the bowls.

These bowls are so handy to have. They nest to save room and the lids are great for easy storage in the the fridge. I have used them daily since recieving them. thanks Overstock.

Wish there was directions with the stuff I get from you!!! No idea how the button on the bowl tops work or what they're for?

The lids make nice frisbees, but the bowls are useful.

While I love the bowls, which are of high quality and stack nicely, the lids just don't seal the way I thought they would. They fit nicely on the bowls, but they do not vacuum seal tightly, which impacts the overall quality of the product. That said, the bowls are thick, well made, and they have measurements on the sides, which will prove handy.

I've been using these for 3 weeks now and they work pretty well. Should of come with a manual though, you have to push on the bowl tops like other plastic-wear. The bowls are pretty light so I don't think I'll use them with a mixer.

The bowls are nice and sturdy. The lids on the other hand are pretty worthless. They just lay on the top of the bowl. They say they have a "vacuum seal" capability but it doesn't work at all. If you want bowls to just mix stuff in these are for you, but if you want them to store stuff in the fridge, get something else.

The bowls are heavy duty and look nice as well as being functional. I love the idea that it works with my food saver. I was even more pleased with them than I thought I would be.

love theses bowl! owned them for about one month and am very pleased. keeps food (leftovers) fresher longer with their integrated valve system. you truly hear the whistling sound when pressing on the lids... the bowls are dishwasher-safe, as well as the lids-even though i wash the lids by hand as they stay fairly clean and don't want to take up unnecessary room in my dishwasher. i like the fact that the bowls are sturdy (not thin) and have a lip so i can mix w/o fear of losing my grip and have batter everywhere.:) great product for the money-highly recommend it.

I love these bowls. They keep my prepared salads fresh for days. I would highly recommend these. The seal tight lids keep everything fresher longer.

I ordered a set of these stainless steel mixing bowls for myself. They came within a week after I ordered them. I was so impressed with the excellent quality of these bowls, I immediately ordered some for my daughter as well. It's not often you can find mixing bowls that also have sealing lids that keep the contents fresh and allow you just to put the bowl into the refrigerator without having to transfer the contents to a different "storage" bowl. These bowls are the greatest!
