Customer Reviews
We needed to temporarily partition a room to provide an extra bedroom. Our first thought was to buy free standing screens, but these have the disadvantage of inadequate height, and since 3 would be required, the cost is relatively high. The sliding panels looked like a more elegant option, so we ordered the 2 sets required. Delivery was as usual excellent from Overstock, assembly is a mix of easy (sliding rails, velcro attachment of panels) and awkward (folding bottom of panel to fit into the metal strip that acts as a weight at the bottom of the panels). When complete the effect is very good - panels slide easily, are sufficiently opaque for complete privacy, and allow some light through. Overall a good solution to the problem.
Since they are made out of something woven, they are easily snagged the edges are coming apart. I'm going to put fabric around the edges. Maybe would have been better out of a stiff fabric? They are a great addition though to our sliding glass door and go much better with our decor than the 70's looking panels.

The sliding panels look great on my sliding glass door. Since the panels are so big, I decided to expand the double rail track an extra 7 inches on each side of the door measurements to allow more viewing when they are open. The panels could have been a little more durable bit looks great and serves the purpose for the price. If you are wondering, it does not come with anything to cover the track once installed. Assembly was very easy- must look at the pictures carefully- there's no written explaination.

Other than the fact that I had to purchase wall anchors to mount this securely to the ceiling eveything else was provided. I am very happy that I purchased 2 so that I could accomodate the width. Hangs nicely and has a pristine finish.

I purchased the panels for exactly the problem in the photo: A deck sliding glass door that let in too much streetlight in the evening. I installed them under an existing sheer curtain and rod, so that I can cover them as well. The pros: They do what they were meant to do, and they are fairly easy to install (although the directions have ONLY pictures and no written instructions), and operate. There are two tracks with 4 panels, so they can slide to either side. Cons: They are a bit "flimsy"- the panels themselves attach to the rod fixture with Velcro, and the fixture is very lightweight metal. Also, be prepared to have less light during the day, since they don't completely "open" the entire window (remember, they always cover half). Other than that, the price was a reasonable investment to correct a problem, and they look "neutral" enough not to become a design statement.
